Xenoblade Chronicles 3’ s Sequel Has Already Been Confirmed

Posted By: Danish Taleefon: July 28, 2022In: Gaming, News, SwitchTags: Nintendo, Xenoblade Chronicles 3No Comments Print Email Mere days after the end of the review embargo and the amazing reception of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, we already have official confirmation of the game’s sequel. Genki Yokota from Nintendo Production Group 2 had an in-depth conversation about the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 sequel with Tetsuya Takahashi and Koh Kojima. Talking about the newly released game, the three mentioned the “high volume of content” that the Nintendo Switch exclusive will be receiving in the future. This topic soon turned into discussions about an expansion pass for the game. The pack is expected to add new costumes, quests, and Hero characters, as well as a new story expansion.

Future of the Xenoblade Series

According to Yokota, the pack will cost $30. For anyone weary of the steep price tag, he reassured fans that the pack will deliver value that will justify the price tag. In typical Nintendo fashion, previous games in the series also received a hefty amount of DLC and expansions during their life spans. So the third entry will probably follow the same trend. Genki Yokota said: “We will be adding a new story at the end of the Expansion Pass, and we are thinking of making its volume of content as large as Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country. We hope that those who enjoyed that content, as well as newcomers, will pick it up. It will be quite a high volume of content that will not let you down.” They then proceeded to discuss the heroes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 in more detail. Saying that by playing the main scenario, players will only encounter about one-third of the total Heroes. And even from those, many can only be found when engaging in side activities and playing through the colonies’ stories. He added: “When a Hero joins the team, Noah and his friends can acquire the Hero’s class and wear their costume, so you will be able to change not only the way the characters fight but also their visual appearance. In a sense, this may be the most game-like element.” Finally, the discussion moved on to the future of the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise. And other than the aforementioned expansion packs, when talking about the future of the series, they added: “Yes, it will still go on! I want to keep it going as long as possible”. As Nintendo has seen constant success in the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise, it is no surprise they are already open to working on a sequel. Tags: NintendoXenoblade Chronicles 3 Previous
