Digimon Survive How to Get More Digimon

Posted By: Sidharta F. Rasidion: July 29, 2022In: Features, Gaming, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox OneTags: DigimonSurvive, GuideNo Comments Print Email Digimon Survive, the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s monster-collecting-and-raising series, was released on July 29, 2022, and features over 100 Digimon to befriend. Just like in previous Digimon RPGs, you can mix and match your own dream team. However, the grid-based strategy combat isn’t the only thing Digimon Survive did to mix things up; it also changes how to befriend and get more Digimon for your party.

How to Befriend Digimon in Digimon Survive

In Digimon Survive, you can get more partners by going into the Free Battle (Free Bat.) area, which is unlocked near the end of Part 1 when Aoi goes missing. Then in Free Battle, pick the Talk option in the menu to initiate a conversation with the target Digimon. You can cycle through the list of all enemies by pressing the shoulder buttons. Now, the target Digimon will ask you three different questions in succession. You can choose from four possible responses, but as you may already expect, only one is the right choice. Picking the right ones will fill up a bar above the target Digimon’s head — while picking the wrong ones can lower the bar instead. If you managed to have three bars filled up after exhausting all three questions, you would then be able to befriend the Digimon or ask it for an item, as seen in the screenshot below. Nevertheless, there are some tricks on what dialogue options you should use when dealing with a specific kind of Digimon, such as: Numemon. Biyomon. Gotsumon. Betamon. Crowmon. Sangloupmon. IceLeomon. Patamon. Zudomon. Tuskmon. Tentomon. Unfortunately, Guilmon is a pre-order and first-month purchase bonus. Before you decide whether or not to befriend a Digimon, though, always take note of the Success Rate. How big (or small) the Success Rate, though, is determined by the levels of your Digimon and the target Digimon. Unlike in the rival monster-collecting series, Pokemon, weakening the target Digimon before starting the dialogue options won’t boost your chances of befriending them. Any self-proclaimed Shin Megami Tensei series fans should be familiar with this system. However, Digimon Survive‘s is much more lenient since it shows players a progress bar and Success Rate for befriending enemies.
