Big Brother 24 Records Most-Dramatic Eviction
Posted By: Judith Ikeon: September 09, 2022In: News, TVTags: big brother 24, Michael BrunerNo Comments Print Email As Big Brother 24 fast draws to an end, houseguests seem more eager to turn on each other, with the latest back-stabbing resulting in the eviction of Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins. However, these two big players did not go without a fight, making their exits rank among the most dramatic yet. Aside from the double-eviction shocker, the houseguests made last-minute discoveries that left them questioning if they had been pairing up with the right contestants all along. With the players down to the final five, the season becomes more heated, with less likelihood of trusting fellow houseguests or forging lasting alliances. What went down leading to the final eviction of Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins on Thursday night’s episode of Big Brother 24? Houseguests Unanimously Voted Against Terrance
The past week saw Terrance Higgins put himself against most houseguests in an attempt to save Kyle Capener following his racist remarks. Hence, it came as no surprise that he became the first choice when it came to this week’s eviction rounds in Big Brother 24. With Michael as the reigning Head of Household, it came down to him to nominate the houseguests to put on the block. He ended up nominating Terrance and Alyssa, in hopes that the latter wriggles her way out. However, when his in-house ride-or-die bestie Brittany Hoopes proved herself untrustworthy by trying to manipulate other houseguests into forging a final-two pact with her, Michael was forced to consider nominating her for eviction. After a heated week of manipulations and back-stabbing, Terrance and Alyssa remained the only nominees left hanging by Thursday night. Terrance tried to keep himself in the house by appealing to other houseguests with a heartfelt speech, “I’ve entertained a lot of lies this week blatantly in front of me. So I want you guys to entertain the truth. When I go back to jury, it’s going to be a lot of onion peeled back there. So every decision you make right now is going to reflect off jury.” No one seemed to budge. On her path, Alyssa seemed confident that she still had a hold on the game. She dished a hearty speech on how devastated she would feel if this week turned out to be her last. The round ended with a 4-0 vote in favor of Alyssa. Terrance revealed he was going to “do a Daniel (Durston)” before walking out without saying goodbye to anyone. Speaking to host Julie Chen Moonves, he said: “I did it to make my parents happy and to just see exactly what encompasses this game is amazing. Because you can sit at home all day with that remote and play this game, but it’s absolutely not the same game when you go inside the Big Brother house.” Matthew Turner Became HOH
Following Terrance’s exit, Julie Chen dropped the double-eviction bombshell, leaving the houseguests stressed out. They immediately proceeded to participate in the HOH competitions, with Michael exempted, being the outgoing Head of House. At the end of the Laser Focus game, which required houseguests to answer questions about color patterns from a video, Matthew Turner emerged as the new HOH. He nominated Brittany and Alyssa for eviction. The Veto competitions went down next, with Monte Taylor emerging winner and becoming the new HOH. He wasted no time taking Alyssa off the block and nominating Michael to face eviction alongside Brittany as the second to exit that day after Terrance. Michael Bruner Sent Home After Terrance
With Brittany up for eviction for the second time that night, she looked visibly devastated. on the other hand, Michael struggled to process the backstab that put him on the bench. After Brittany gave a heartbreaking speech about how she could be an asset to the other houseguests if she stayed, Micheal saw it fit to address the obvious, “Alyssa, Taylor, this move to take me out is Monte and Turner’s move. This is going on their resume even if you all vote, the jury will not see this as your move. Take that away from them. Keep me in the house so I can put them on the block.” Going further, he tried convincing Alyssa and Taylor that the others considered them bigger threats. Hence, they would vote them out the first chance they got, and keep Brittany in the game. Despite his speech, Alyssa, Monte, and Taylor voted against the former HOH. He did not take his eviction well. Michael asked the remaining contestants to remain seated as he walked out, much like Terrance. Speaking to Julie, he admitted he never expected to survive in the house for so long, nor win anything. Overall, the night unveiled several unexpected twists, giving viewers and houseguests quite the show.
