Much like the previous 2 games, Splatoon 3 gives us a bunch of options to customize our characters! Beginning as soon as you finish the game’s tutorial, you can change your character’s appearance and hair! What’s even better is that the customization menu is actually super easy to access! If you’re planning on trying out Splatoon 3, character customization is an important thing to know. Read below to learn how to change appearance and hair in Splatoon 3 and look your absolute best for every fight! Splatoon 3 Character Customization Menu
To begin with, you must press the “+” button on your controller. This will open up the menu. Once you’ve made it to the menu, head over to “Options” and look for the “Other” button. Once you’re in, you should be able to look around and locate a small option on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen that reads “Player Options.” Clicking this magical little button will take you to the Splatoon 3 Character Customization menu, where you can change your appearance and hair. Once you get to the character customization screen, you will be able to change your character’s appearance and hair just like you could in the previous Splatoon games. With addition to your options, that is! This is where you can change your character back and forth between an Octoling and an Inkling. In addition, you can change your hairstyle, eyebrow shape, eye color, and skin tone. You’ll even find that you can change the appearance of your Smallfry to match your character’s new look! The Smallfry has 7 different style options to choose from. Plus, you can revisit the character customization menu to change your appearance and hair any time you’d like. However, after the first tutorial, you will not be able to change your clothes, so choose wisely during your tutorial! While Inklings have 16 hairstyles to choose from, if you are on Octoling, you only have a choice of 8 styles. Though, no matter which character type you are, trying to change your appearance and hair in Splatoon 3 has a new option. Contrary to the possibilities from Splatoon and Splatoon 2, you are actually able to customize your eyebrow shape now! Now get out there and get your character looking fresh for your next fight!
