Writer and star of ABC’s newest hit workplace mockumentary Quinta Brunson has just accepted her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for A Comedy Series. The Emmy is a well-deserved award, especially after all the fantastic reviews Abbott Elementary gained this year. Quinta Brunson Wins at 2022 Emmys Against Tough Contenders
Quinta Brunson was up against many heavy contenders for this Emmy award. The nominees for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series included Bill Hader and Alec Berg for Barry, Duffy Boudreau for Barry, John Hoffman for Only Murders in the Building, Jane Becker for Ted Lasso, Jen Statsky for Hacks, and separately nominated for What We Do In The Shadows, Sarah Naftalis and Stefani Robinson. Despite facing tough contenders, the bright, charming, and funny queen Quinta Brunson took the crown. In her acceptance speech, the Abbott Elementary creator said, “I want to say thank you to ABC, Disney, Fox, and Warner Brothers.
