RHOA Kandi Burruss Talks About Her Cousin Being Shot

Her cousin, Melvin Jones was working at the time, and is now in the process of healing post shooting. Burruss has been a mainstay on the show for 13 seasons, and is also well known for a prestigious music career. She makes music under the name Kandi, and has even won a Grammy. She is quite close with her family, as we have seen on the show. The full circumstances are not fully known, but it seems her cousin is in the process of healing and moving past it. Seems two coworkers got into a heated argument that ended with him being shot. Thankfully, he is doing better and she has opened up a but about the frightening situation. It’s the kind of thing that reminds you to appreciate every moment in life. You never know when a tragedy is waiting just around the corner. Via Screenrant: “Kandi Burruss gave RHOA fans an update on her cousin, Melvin Jones, after he was shot while working at her Blaze Steak & Seafood restaurant, telling Ooh Ladies First Panel that her cousin was “getting through it” and the bullet “didn’t hit anything that won’t heal.” According to the 46-year-old, the entire family is hanging in and making sure to rally around him. Kandi acknowledged that Melvin is still uncomfortable. Kandi shared that Melvin was not at his house, saying, “He’s fine. I mean, he’s not fine, but he’s okay.” According to WAGA-TV, the alleged suspect was identified as Henry Darden. The shooting reportedly happened around 7:30 p.m. after the two co-workers got into an altercation.” RHOA Kandi Burruss has a lot on her plate right now, but it’s good to hear her cousin is on the mend. Just one of those moments that reminds you how fleeting life is. We wish him well, and we look forward to spending more time with Burruss on RHOA.
