The Netflix actress finally spoke up in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. She was thankful for her family and friends who showered her with love and support during this difficult time. Long went on to ask everyone to respect her privacy in order for her to process the recent event. The 51-year-old star prioritized her family as she will continue to focus on her children amid her fiancé’s drama. Udoka, an American-Nigerian professional basketball coach is facing backlashes for cheating on the pretty actress. According to reports, he had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team’s staff. He has been in a relationship with Long since her days on the set of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. This makes his cheating even more surprising. The team suspended him, and he was okay with their decision. In all this, Nia Long decided to break the silence about the issue, however, she didn’t talk much about Ime Udoka. Fans believe that the club’s decision to suspend Udoka is well deserved. The 45-year-old suspended is also in agreement. This Thursday, he issued an apology via Espn’s Malika Andrews’ Twitter. Udoka pleaded with his players, fans, family, and the entire Celtics organization for letting them down. He also accepted the team’s decision for putting them in this difficult situation. The coach rounded up his statement by stating that he has no further comment out of respect for everyone involved. After his statement was released, his fiancé, Nia Long went ahead to break her silence without calling him out. She only prioritized family and thanked everyone for their support.
