‘ Beverly Hills Cop Axel Foley’ Adds Kevin Bacon to the Cast

It is a sequel to the Netflix buddy cop action film franchise. The first film came out in 1984 and helped launch the career of the Saturday Night Live alum Eddie Murphy. It had two sequels in 1987 and 1994 as well. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley with Kevin Bacon, will be the fourth film in the franchise. Mark Molloy is directing it. Murphy along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman under Jerry Bruckheimer Films is producing the Netflix buddy cop action film sequel. Will Beall is writing the script. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige are also in the cast. Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot will reprise their roles in the film franchise. The film changed hands from Paramount to Netflix in 2019. Kevin Bacon Could Be a Good Guy or a Bad Guy for the Fourth Installment of the Film Franchise
Bacon’s career launched in the 1980s. He starred in the films Footloose, Friday the 13th, and She’s Having a Baby. He has been the protagonist and the antagonist and numerous films. There are no details on what role Kevin Bacon will play or even what his character’s name will be for the Netflix buddy cop action film sequel. His most recent works include They/Them and You Should Have Left. Both are horror films, so Bacon starring in the comedy Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, will be refreshing. From Tremors to City on the Hill, Kevin Bacon is a recognizable face in film and television. The Netflix buddy cop action film sequel is about Foley (Murphy) investigating corruption with his daughter and her ex-boyfriend. Kevin Bacon has played a corrupt cop so that could be his role in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. No matter which kind of character he’ll play in the fourth Beverly Hills Cop film, Bacon is always worth a watch.
