King Daredevil Costume Unveiled By Artist

This new Daredevil costume bears a striking resemblance to Elektra’s Daredevil costume. Back in issue #25 of Daredevil, Elektra took up the moniker of Daredevil to help defend Hell’s Kitchen. Now, Matt is donning the King Daredevil costume in preparation for his, and Elektra’s newest mission. The duo are preparing to take on the evil ninjas known as the Hand. Unfortunately, the Hand is currently being led by the Punisher. Plus, the group is closely tied to both Matt Murdock and Elektra. Hints of this epic showdown have been sprinkled throughout Zdarsky’s Daredevil series, . In fact, this more grizzled Murdock and the King Daredevil costume appeared back in July’s Daredevil #1. In that issue, Murdock declared himself the leader of the Fist. The Fist is an organization of specially trained fighters. The group is thousands of years old and serves as a counterbalance to the Hand. How Did We Get Here
Chip Zdarsky, alongside Marco Checchetto, took over as writer of Daredevil back in 2019. Speaking to CBR, the writer shared that the newest iteration of the Man Without Fear would focus on the Hand. He also shared that this series would take Daredevil from local hero in Hell’s Kitchen to world-known superhero. This means that Matt’s decisions effect more than a single neighborhood, but an entire world. Plus, Daredevil is not able to just fight his way through the obstacles at hand. Instead, he will be fighting for his very life. Meanwhile, Zdarsky calls this series his “magnum opus”. He gushes that the chance to tell a long story over multiple years at Marvel with the same artist is a gift. Plus, he is over the moon with the support they have received. Meanwhile he promises that it is building to something amazing. If the King Daredevil costume is anything to go by, it is definitely gonna be something not to miss.
