Sometimes it’s hard to know how to do some of the newer features that we aren’t used to. One such feature is the introduction of Overwatch 2 Coins. Since Overwatch 2 is free-to-play now, we have more of a battle pass style game. This means no more Loot Boxes. However, to access the battle pass rewards, you’ll require coins. Keep reading below to learn about Overwatch 2 Coins and how to get them! What Are Overwatch 2 Coins
Overwatch 2 Coins are the new premium currency in Overwatch 2, since its recent release! These coins can be spent in the in-game store to purchase cosmetic items and seasonal battle pass rewards. You can even purchase skins and skin bundles with them for you Overwatch 2 characters. Also, at the end of each season there will be a playable character that you can purchase with Coins. How to Get Overwatch 2 Coins
The main and easiest way to get coins is simply by purchasing them in the store. The prices can be seen below: 500 Coins – $4.99 1,000 Coins – $9.99 2,200 Coins – $19.99 (10% Bonus Coins) 5,700 Coins – $49.99 (14% Bonus Coins) 11,600 Coins – $99.99 (16% Bonus Coins) Aside from purchasing coins in the in-game store, there is one other way to obtain them. This can be done by completing challenges. Each week, there are a few weekly Overwatch challenges. completing them will earn you a small amount of Coins. Overall, you can collect up to 50 Overwatch 2 Coins each week. Which, honestly, considering the price of the coins in the store, is a pretty decent amount! It really doesn’t seem like much, but if you save them up, before you know it, you will have saved yourself loads of money. What Can You Spend Coins On
You can use coins to buy new heroes, charms, and skins, including the new hero, Kiriko. However, some of Overwatch‘s credits from the original game can still be used to purchase cosmetics.
