‘ The Caretaker’ Will Star Sydney Sweeney

Universal acquired the rights to the story after a bidding war. Marcus Kliewer wrote the short story. Sydney Sweeney will produce The Caretaker under Fifty-Fifty Films. The story follows a young woman that takes a caretaker role off Craigslist and discovers there is more to the job than she thought. Michael Bay will produce it alongside Brad Fuller under Platinum Dues and Scott Glassgold under Ground Control. Kliewer’s story We Used to Live Here sole to Netflix a big sum. After it was announced that The Caretaker was going to drop soon via Reddit, producers swarmed. Fuller and Sweeney will also be making the adaptation of The Registration with Sony. Bay and Fuller previously signed a first-look deal with Universal. Executive VP of Production Matt Reilly and Creative Executive Jacqueline Garell will oversee the Universal film adaptation. Sydney Sweeney has had a supporting role in many series and films throughout her career, but Euphoria has changed the projection of her career. Since her recognition as Cassie Howard, she has gotten more attention and scrutiny. Above all else, she has had many more projects come her way. With films like the Barbarella remake and The Caretaker, Syndey Sweeney will play more notable roles. The former film, Sweeney, will executive produce. She played in the award-winning HBO series The White Lotus and will star in the second season. Sweeney plays the lead in the Universal film adaptation of The Caretaker. She may have started her career as a child actor, but she is blossoming into a sought-after actor as an adult. The Universal film adaptation is one of many projects of hers. Expect much larger projects beyond The Caretaker and Barbarella for Sweeney. There is no release for The Caretaker.
