Silk Sonic Withdraws Album From Grammy Nominations

Artists not offering their albums to be considered for the Grammys is a rare occurrence. However, the duo is not the first to do it. The album in question is called An Evening With Silk Sonic. The duo released it in November 2021. The album has enjoyed great success on the Billboard charts, and many fans considered it a front-runner at the Grammys this year. Fans will remember that the duo both won and performed at last year’s ceremony. Despite the explanation, it’s still unclear why Silk Sonic decided not to submit their album for Grammy consideration. Perhaps this is a subtle way for a mainstream artist to show their lack of support for award shows. We hope we can celebrate with everyone on a great year of music and partake in the party. Thank you for letting Silk Sonic thrive.” He then continued by saying: “Andy and I, and everyone that worked on this project, won the moment the world responded to ‘Leave The Door Open.’ Everything else was just icing on the cake,” he says. “We thank the Grammys for allowing us to perform on their platform — not once but twice — and awarding us at last year’s ceremony.
