Now, the powerhouse singer has announced a new album. The upcoming album from Sam Smith, GLORIA, will be out on January 27, 2023. GLORIA will be Sam Smith’s fourth album, and it’s the follow-up to 2020’s Love Goes, which included the hit singles Dancing With A Stranger with Normani and How Do You Sleep. The singer announced the album by posting the following on Facebook: “Dearest sailors, I am overjoyed to announce that my fourth album is called ‘GLORIA’. It will be yours on the 27th January, 2023, and you can pre-order now. I’m feeling overwhelmed and emotional as I start to let go of Gloria and hand this work over to you. It has been magical in every way to make this piece of music and by giving this record to you I am giving you part of my heart and soul. Gloria got me through some dark times and was a beacon for me in my life. I hope it can be that for you. Thank you for waiting so long. Only a few months now. The singer became an immediate success, and people praised the singer for their soulful singing voice. Numerous awards followed, including four Grammy Awards and two Brit awards. However, Sam Smith’s music has evolved a great deal over the years. For the most part, the singer has abandoned the soulful ballads that made them famous. Now, the music is much more upbeat and dance-floor-ready. While Sam has had success in recent years, some fans have expressed that they miss the “old Sam.” If Unholy is any indication, Sam Smith’s new body of work will follow the recent trend of more fun Pop songs.
