‘ My Policeman’ Star David Dawson on Harry Styles Sex Scenes

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, My Policeman star David Dawson talked about shooting the sex scenes with Harry Styles. When looking back on shooting the sex scenes with Harry Styles for My Policeman, David Dawson felt it was “one of the most special things” he got out of the film. When he read that he would shoot it, he said that one would “hope” that the other person is someone you can “trust,” will “communicate,” and “void of ego.” He found that all “and more” in the pop star-turned-actor. “That was one of the most special things I took away from this project. Because initially, when you read the script and you know that there are these intimate scenes, you hope the person you’re going through this process with is someone you can wholly put your trust in and will communicate with you and is void of ego.” My Policeman star David Dawson and Harry Styles laughed at sex scenes
There is something to having sex scenes with one of the most famous people in the world. People were drawn to similar scenes between the musician and Florence Pugh in Don’t Worry Darling. For My Policeman, David Dawson would laugh with his co-star as takes would end. With four people in the room for the scene, laughing is the “best way to deal with it.” The upcoming film explores 1960s London at a time when homosexuality was illegal. The romance drama was directed by Michael Grandage (Genius) and written by Ron Nyswaner (Homeland). The two actors are joined by Emma Corrin (The Crown), Gina McKee (Phantom Thread), and Linus Roache (Homeland). My Policeman star David Dawson is known for series like Luther and Peaky Blinders. He has also starred in Ripper Street, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, The Last Kingdom, and Year of the Rabbit. He is set to star in the series The Burning Girls next year with Samantha Morton (The Walking Dead). The film releases in theaters tomorrow, October 21.
