Guardians of the Galaxy will be adapted in video game form developed by Square Enix It will be a single-player focused game It will release on October 26, 2021 While there was a lot to talk about on the first two days of E3 2021, from our first look at the brand new Avatar game being developed to Ubisoft Massive, to more news on the upcoming Halo title, Square Enix brought out a massive announcement. Having released Marvel’s Avengers back in 2020, the studio has already announced their latest title in the form of an adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy, a direct encapsulation of the beloved superhero crew. They talked about a flurry of features coming with the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy game, and it sounds like this one is going to be a massive improvement on Marvel’s Avengers. Players will take control of Star Lord, the main character in the series and you will be able to use all of the abilities that are seen within the films, which includes his Elemental Boosters and Jet-boots. As well, players will have choices to make throughout the game which seem to affect how each of the Guardians is going to interact with you and may affect some of the story outcomes. Square EnixChoices seem to be key in Guardians of the Galaxy One of the choices they displayed during one of the single-player missions had Star Lord throwing Rocket over a ravine, and a blurb of text appeared over the screen that said “Rocket is furious at you”. So, it looks like there will be some sort of relationship system within the game, and it will be interesting to see how much relationships with other Guardians are within the game. Along with the trailer that was premiered during E3 2021, they also walked us through one of the campaign missions we will get to play through when it releases. Square EnixPlayers will get to utilize all of the Guardian’s abilities in this game Similar to Marvel’s Avengers, you will get to use a flurry of abilities and you can also rely on the other Guardians for help in battle. As well, when Star Lord’s meter reaches a certain threshold, you will be able to use an ultimate move called “Huddle”. This triggers Star Lord to fly into the air with his classic song playing in the background, making use of his Jet-boots and reigning down fire on enemies.
