Gunman shoots 2 nurses inside Texas hospital reports A police officer who worked for the Dallas area hospital shot the gunman before he was taken into custody, according to media reports. One of the nurses reportedly died, accordingThe condition of the other nurse was not known. Both of them worked at the Methodist Dallas Medical Center in the 1400 block of North Beckley Avenue where an “active shooter” was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Police arrived about 11:10 a.m. local time and took custody of the suspect, according tothe Dallas Morning News.At least 10 police cars were seen parked out front, according to the newspaper.WFAA reporter Rebecca Lopez posted on Twitter that an officer who worked for the hospital’s police force shot the alleged assailant close to the scene of the attack, near “the labor and delivery area.” The condition of the suspect was not known.
