It was the year when Kap’s contract had ended with the 49ers, and he was without a team. There were many issues surrounding Kap, but Brady didn’t back away from giving his honest opinion about the former 49ers quarterback. He came to our stadium and beat us and took his team to the Super Bowl.” Tom Brady further talked about why deserved a chance to get back into the league. He said, “He accomplished a lot in the pros as a player. And he’s certainly qualified, and I hope he gets a shot.”
