Malone brought up that he had an insurance policy on her, and he could give his cellmate $500 from the payout. After two conversations about the killing, Malone’s cellmate went to prison officials to report the conversations.Investigators spoke to Malone’s wife, who confirmed many of the details shared about her daily life as a part of the murder plot. A look at the photos provided of the indicates that at one point, it was fully submerged in salt water during the Hurricane, so it’s hardly a surprise that it isn’t salvageable. Investigators spoke to Malone’s wife, who confirmed many of the details shared about her daily life as a part of the murder plot. The only thing she said wasn’t real was the life insurance policy. During an investigation, police said Calhoun pawned a piece of jewelry belonging to Phifer the day after he was murdered. Malone was jailed two weeks before these conversations began, on a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors. However, with the exception of some paint and clear coat damage, it’s possible that some of the body panels could be saved, stripped back and used as spare parts. The plea agreement in the 2010 case dropped several other child sex abuse charges, according to online court dockets. The sentence on the corruption of minors charge allowed for just under two years imprisonment, followed by parole. Malone posted a bond on $45,000 bail for the criminal solicitation charge in September 2021. Unfortunately, this is far from the only exotic that was destroyed by Hurricane Ian.
