Silver Mario amiibo Reportedly Picked Up From a Chinese Website, Demonstrated With Mario Party 10 Nintendo Life

Actually seems legit by Share: Back in early February documentation was found for , and after a few months of pretending the rumours didn't exist . A Walmart-exclusive limited edition in North America, it was released alongside but rapidly became one of the rarest and most eagerly scalped of amiibo toys; it's yet to be confirmed for any other regions. The silver amiibo never surfaced, but a video from reportedly shows one in action. Acquired from a Chinese auction site, it's in unofficial packaging but, as shown below, appears to be legitimate. on It's apparently relatively common for NFC toys, in particular, to be sold on auction sites such as that used to find this one. With so many goods manufactured in China it often happens that technology (and in this case toys) can be leaked or stolen before being sold for a handsome profit. That seems to have been the case here. Does that mean the Super Mario: Silver Edition is still coming? Not necessarily, as we don't know whether this figure - assuming it's as real as it appears to be - was part of a mass-batch or a small test sample. What's clear from the video, however, is that Mario Party 10 does have the data to recognise and use the toy. No doubt we'll find out from Nintendo in good time. Would you go out of your way to grab one of these if it's eventually released? [source ] Related Games Share: Comments ) Huh. Hoping it comes to the UK. I wasn't even able to grab a Gold Mario when they were released everywhere in Canada. Every store was either already sold out, or hadn't even gotten any. So my hopes for Silver Mario are pretty much nil. Huh, didn't realise MatteoMax had got into amiibo collecting(I guess it's understandable, though), he does a fair bit of collecting/grabbing prototype/unreleased Skylanders from Taobao.
I'd be inclined to say this is legit (though, watching the video, it does mention on the game that it is the first use of the amiibo, so having the Silver Token already "equipped" on it just adds to the authenticity) Or maybe its a custom amiibo. They need to make a white Mario amiibo, b/c they're milking it. No chance of buying so I have no interest in it being released. This is off the subject but if I were Nintendo, I would send exclusive products to Best Buy instead of the other stores because they're the only ones who support the 3DS streetpass functions. It always bothers me when I take my 3DS to Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, and especially Gamestop and I don't get a single hit. Does this mean that we might see gold and silver editions for other Amiibo as well? We do have Yarn Yoshi's as well now, so I think it's possible, right? Should have been the final Club Nintendo Platinum reward... maybe too many people hit platinum status this year? I don't care about these dumb toys Really? A Silver one now!?! I did manage to get a Gold Mario from Toys R Us in Canada. The store had 15 shipped to them. Obvious photoshop is obvious I'd be more interested in Amiibo if Nintendo made it more accessible, currently, the Amiibo's I want are from 3rd party sellers with a huge price hike...Why won't they make more? But, I have to say, Mario Party 10's visuals are so lush! I call fake. It looks like a nicely repainted regular Mario Series Mario amiibo to me. Meanwhile, the Platinum Mario is only coming to the select few in Club Nintendo Ultra. Earth Worm Jim for smash, it would be "Groovy" Never been a fan of Gold or Silver Mario. It's just rubbish and clearly out of ideas This just in: China's pretty good at spraypainting. ...is what I want to say. But darned if that silver token data on it doesn't look legit. Still waiting for Gold Mario Amiibo to come out here in Australia! Just bought one at Game Stop. Very nice! Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
