The exhibition “ The Tudors ” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art shows that the monarchs who let heads roll were careful to manage the way theirs looked — at least as careful as Queen Elizabeth I I. Dr. Cleland and Dr. Eaker are the curators of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition “This is the first American exhibition about the Tudors and their artistic legacy, not their political heritage. Covering their century-plus reign — 118 years, from the ascent of Henry VII in 1485 to the death of Queen Elizabeth I in 1603 — it will run through Jan. 8. Organized by the Met and the Cleveland Institute of Art in collaboration with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, it draws on works from museums across Europe and in this country, along with the Met’s own holdings.
