Authorities have identified the 61-year-old man who died in Spring Valley Thursday after an altercation with another man According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a call regarding a verbal disturbance near the 8600 block of Jamacha Boulevard around 11 a.m. When they arrived on scene, authorities found Richard Johnson on the ground with trauma to his head."The Fire Department was already on scene and transported the man to a local hospital for further medical treatment. Unfortunately, the man was later pronounced deceased," the department said. A short time later, deputies detained 31-year-old Mauricio Juarez who was reportedly seen fighting with the victim. The relationship between Johnson and Juarez is still unknown."This incident happened near a storage area in the overflow dirt parking lot of the Spring Valley Swap Meet," the department said.
