Tilly was famously underutilized in the original film with a very minor role. Based on her comments about the wardrobe, it seems likely that Curtis will be featured in a bigger role than Tilly's, allowing Curtis as a long-established scream queen and 'final girl' more time to shine as Leota. Curtis' comments confirm that The Haunted Mansion reboot won't be going for outright horror, electing instead to ride the line between family friendly, funny, and eerie in order to appeal to the widest demographic and pay tribute to the original.
