Related Games Share: Comments ) Already hyped for Pokemon: Eclipse Disney XD, huh? Man, Cartoon Network just keeps dropping the ball with their good shows. First the Sonic Boom season 2 debacle, now they straight up lost Pokémon... God, what is up with the animation of the new anime? Did they hire those clowns from Dragon Ball Super or something? Not sure we get Disney XD but am looking forward to the movie. It's the 1 thing my wife and I get to really share with our Pokémon loving kids. It's going on the calendar, after I check to see if we get that channel. Well then, let's wait and see how this new series plays out
grabs popcorn I hope the Sun and Moon anime has a good amount of humor, but the animation style NEEDS to be fixed, especially for Ash. His voice DOES NOT match with his mouth or his (extra) cartoonish look. Is it me or popplio looks derpy in that image? Cartoon Network is dropping Pokémon, this makes me kind of sad. Just saw the first two episodes, even though no English subs. Ive read that Ash keeps his XYZ competence, so that means Alola is really next after leaving Kalos, despite how young he really looks. Anyway, that should clear up some mixed feelings some of you had before. It's happening… Disney and Pokemon Together
Two of the best things in the world coming together please don't screw this up Actually the new trailers give me some hope for the new season, I'm debating watching it now with subs or waiting for the dub; glad that they kept Ashs voice actor from before though, that would have been too much strangeness if they changed that too Honestly, I love this more cartoony style the anime has going on. Looks horrible in stills but in motion, man, I love it. Something different for a change at the very least. Nothing has changed of Ash since Kalos, they just added more comedy to suit the new designs, basically. If CN is losing Pokemon does that mean they won't be playing Kanto and Johto episodes on Boomerang anymore? While I dont have evidence, I doubt it We all know its going to be Pokemon: Solar Eclipse and Pokemon: Lunar Eclipse.
XD Disney XD, eh? I wonder if it'll follow suite in Canada. A few years back, YTV dropped Pokemon (along with Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade) after roughly a decade of network decay. All three were picked up by Teletoon (our "Cartoon Network“, although there is a Cartoon Network Canada now). It seems too soon for it to just change hands again. EDIT: Looks like Disney XD has also aquired ALL previous seasons and movies in the US. Dang... A different style coupled with people zeroing in on "filler" frames that look much better in motion.
And the DVD releases of Super seemed to have fixed up a lot of stuff- as tends to happen. Just to clarify what could be confusing in the UK section: Volcanion Movie Saturday 12:30pm on CITV
Eps 1 and 2 Sunday 12-1pm on CITV. These are the full episodes, not just sneak peaks! Set those Sky+ HD boxes/Virgin Media boxes! So this week's XYZ episode is postponed?
Wonder if you can save the QR code for later if you haven't cleared Sun/Moon by then. I won't have completed it in two weeks same, for the switch I was really surprised when I heard about Cartoon Network losing Pokemon, they've had it for Gen 4-6, but I guess it makes sense considering Yokai Watch is also on Disney XD Man do the new Sun and moon designs look derpy though, we had such an increase in quality with XY/Z and then it comes to this, oh well... I'm honestly surprised and disappointed that Cartoon Network dropped the Pokemon series. Disappointed because we don't get Disney XD. (Which Charter recently dropped in their lowest package.) So let's see how well this plays out. I'm not so sure Disney XD is a good idea. Look at what they did to Naruto before it went back to CN. Disney could care less about anime. Here in Norway Pokémon has been on Disney XD for a while, so I am not too surprised. I can't say I am too keen on the new Pokémon anime's look and especially Ash's design really feels weird to me, so I might not watch the Sun and Moon anime just from a aesthetic perspective which I think is a bit sad as it shouldn't have been a too hard thing to avoid from an animator perspective I hope ;^^. In any case, I hope the people who like the artstyle will enjoy the Sun and Moon anime and it will be a good season in terms of comedy and a adventuring :+). Yikes! This new art style of the Sun and Moon anime is terrible. I hope the movies from here on out do not take this approach. It doesn't look HD anymore. CN isn't dropping pokemon, pokemon is dropping CN for Disney XD (why I have no clue but atleast its not nickelodeon.) I'm glad Pokemon's moving to Disney XD. CN didn't really seem to care for the show. They only aired new episodes and movies once. The rest of the time, the show would only play once or twice early in the morning. I hope Disney XD gives Pokemon as much air time as (or even more than) Yokai Watch (another monster catching show that I like). At least Cartoon Network still has Steven Universe... and.. . uhm...
Teen Titans Go?
(o_O ) *sigh
I miss coming home from elementary school and watching Toonami with my sister. I have to actually finish the game to get the (I presume) event mon? I know that gives me 2 1/2 weeks or so, but I hate being pressured. I wonder how long it will be available? Especially as you know, not everyone is going to buy the game day one. Maybe some kids will have to put this game on their Christmas wish list. That sort of thing.
(then again, wasn't Victini in BW1 the same way? Hope you bought your game at launch or too bad for you.) Why do people keep saying Ash looks too young? He's frickin' 10 years old! He is young! He's a baby lol xD
And as for the new animation style; I know change is hard to deal with but really this is just how animation is done now. The previous seasons looked outdated, and the new style makes the everything move more fluidly. Give it chance, I think you'll enjoy it. Unless they can't keep up the quality...which is highly likely. Animation like that is expensive and time consuming (so I've heard). Is he still 10? I haven't watched for many years but I seem to recall him being 10 since the first episode. Shouldn't he be in his 20's by now? Or does this follow Simpsons ageing logic? Actually he's 11 now Supposedly its actually going to be called Pokemon Stars and its coming to Switch from the news NL just posted Cartoon Aging logic. I have already debunked this on the grounds that it is sillybuns I try not to question it too much lol I dont't mind as much that Disney XD is getting the Pokémon series. If this was around the time they had Naruto Shippuden, I would be worried. But seeing how they did Doraemon and Yo-Kai Watch, I have more fate (not counting censors & edits for sensitive American audiences) With that in mind, I have to remember to watch the 41 episodes of Pokémon XYZ I have recorded on my DVR.
