Nintendo Download 4th May North America
Nintendo Download: 4th May (North America) Nintendo Life NBA Playgrounds! Infinite Golf! Blaster Master Zero demo! More! by Share: It's that time again, dear readers, for the North American Nintendo Download Update. This week brings two Switch eShop titles (one out already, one early next week), and a range of options across both New 3DS and Wii U. Let's get to it.
For you guys wanting to hear if NBA Playgrounds is good before you decide, Polygon did a preview article that was enlightening
lol no ones getting everyones favorite game, citadale May the 4th be with you! Star Wars day! I'll just be playing BOTW while Star Wars plays in the background since I don't have a Switch because if I did I would absolutely download the Blaster Master demo. Just the free Blaster Master Zero update DLC for me this week. The developers don't have the best track record so I am skeptical as well. I'm a huge basketball fan, so I am really hoping this game is good. As long as the Metacritic score is 70+ I'll get it.
Crackafreeze, No problem glad I could help yasin88, comment #25 I put a link to Polygon's impressions of the game. I love how RCMADIAX's "FIFTEEN" is underlined in this article. It's like a subtle way of saying, "YEP! We've got this one again." VERY tempted by Blazing Star. I realise NBA is two on two, but can you play single player against the computer? - Loved that game. My dribble/dunk duo of CAPs (Hal Cracker & Stagolee respectively) were devastating. - It looks like the RCALLCAPS game is for the WiiU, unless I'm missing something. Hopefully Switch owners won't have to wait too long for Tap Tap Shooty Duck Future Arcade Poker Dice: The Complete WiiU Collection Not got alot of basketball knowledge being from the uk but this does look fun. Thinks ill have a dabble! how much is that!? Aww, I thought Citadale was releasing for Nintendo Switch. Bleeehhhh Going to have to wait on a review and some videos of NBA Playground. I'm hoping it has online play, and I am a huge fan of the original NBA Jam franchise. I'm planning on getting NBA2K18 as my dedicated basketball game, but would enjoy this for its arcade play value. Blazing Star. I can't remember all the NeoGeo shooters. Is that the GET BONUS! one? I'll definitely download the Blaster Master Zero demo, and as much as I'd rather not, I'll likely buy it to support Inti-Creates and Blaster Master in general (plus the dang DLC updates, sigh). Blazing Star does have my attention... though not a shmup pro, I've always been a fan, but few of them actually retain my interest. Citadale is there to scratch my Castlevania itch, though not very polished, but what I can't understand is since when was it a trilogy? I though there was only one game? Yuck...pretty slow week As each DLC character comes out they will be free for the first two weeks then after that be $1.99 I think. Was hoping for a Blaster Master Zero demo on 3DS. I guess if you don't have a Switch you are dead to Nintendo these days. Notable Sales 3DS
Xeodrifter is $2.49 and you should get the Wii U version free.
Mutant Mudds $2.24
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is $2.49 and you should get the Wii U version free. Wii U
Gunman Clive HD Collection $1.99
Trine Enchanted Edition $7.49
A lot of RCMADIAX junk. Seriously dude stop cluttering the sale section and do a permanent price drop. They're way too slow, its always after the store update happens so makes it kinda pointless them sending a press release. So Nintendo missed on having Megaman offers and discounts, AWESOME! /s Just a heads up that Square Enix is running a Spring clearance sale in North America on their online store. This affects physical games (not preorders), DLC, CDs, and a lot of their other merchandise. Be warned that shipping can be a bit steep, however. This sale is going on until May 8! Edit: Apparently it does affect some digital games as well. Very smart to make a Blaster Master 0 demo. I've been interested in it and maybe checking it out will make me jump the fence. I regret they don't make more demos. There's several games I'm curious about... I'm so struggling with the awful art style of the Big Heads in NBA . . Picked up the 3DS blaster master 0 demo, was entertained enough to where I'll purchase the full game at next pay day. Picked up the Gunvolt DLC for Blaster Master Zero. ....okay thanks, but it doesn't confirm if Switch will have online which will be a determining factor on my purchase. I'll fire up my WiiU to upgrade my Wii VC copy of Bonk's Revenge to WiiU and support TG16 VC, though it would be nice for them to come up with a VC plan for Switch someday... Being a massive Castlevania fan I bought Citidale on sale despite mediocre reviews. Apparently, if you bought the original, you get a half-price discount on the trilogy. I may go for it. It's not a worthy clone in the way of Axiom Verge or Freedom Planet, but definitely some hours of enjoyment for old-school Castlevania fans. Get it more! You Fail it! I think I'll join the library. cool thank you! But this answers that
Spoilers: for the first couple of days NO, but after that YES BONK! Getting NBA and Blaster Master Demo BMZ demo for me! Nothing for me this week except for BMZ demo, maybe. Back to Mario Kart! "FIFTEEN" 10/10. GOTY. RCMADIAX is still making terrible games for the Wii U, I see.. That moment when the Wii U has more to offer in the week than the Switch. (But at least NBA Playgrounds is guaranteed to catch some attention) Does this mean 'Europe'? That NBA game is supposed to come out the 9th of May. Even says so on the ratio cuz it's been on my wishlist I know TumbleSeed came out on Tuesday, but you guys should really have releases for the Week and not just what tumbles out on Thursdays. There seem to be more and more games not following the Thursday guideline anymore, Puyo Puyo Tetris also came out on a Tuesday. Just a thought... NBA Playgrounds looks like great fun . . . and the kind of fun the Wii U never got. Just hope my card packs are filled with retro ballers. I picked Infinite Golf and played quite a bit of it. It's really bare bones flick to shoot but it gets addictive. The graphics are cool but do no change. I wish they had put in multiple backgrounds. It actually is a great start for a game of this type. It would be awesome to see them expand upon it with perhaps online leaderboards or play, multiple backgrounds after you reach so far. It definitely has potential. Be careful touching the screen cause it's super sensitive and might count as a shot but it's worth 1.99 I just hope they will expand on it cause it would be cool with some goals and achievements I've been trying to catch you on MarioKart but keep missing you. Me and a friend will be playing on Sundays at Noon Pacific time. If you would like to join your welcome too. We will be playing 2 players per console. Me and my son vs him and his daughter. If I'm available I would love to. you were right. i was jsut too overzealous. looking forward to his hd colllection - assuming he's a he, of course. heh. look for me online about noon pacific. My son backed out on me **sadface** he has to work after Church this week Cool thanks for link to the preview. I'm warming up to this more and more and the kids saw some screenshots and weren't impressed, but once they see the video of the crazy dunks and realize we could all play at the same time, I think they'll be excited. Shout out to fellow Houstonion Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
Nintendo Switch eShop
(Saber Interactive, $19.99) - With its 2 vs 2 gameplay, outrageous dunks and even elbow throwing, plenty will naturally think about with this one. Rosters are built through earning card packs (though this is achievement-based, not microtransactions) and you try to beat the best to rule the courts. We're hoping the Switch version lives up to other versions (online play ), and we'll let you know what we think in a review. Available from 9th May. (HAMSTER, $7.99) - Released earlier in the week, this is widely regarded as one of the Neo Geo's finest blasters, and in its original physical format commands a massive price on the secondary market. As an ACA release it'll have various options for online leaderboard, display settings and more.Nintendo Switch Demo
(Inti Creates, free)New Nintendo 3DS eShop
(Petite Games, $1.99) - With a relatively stylish aesthetic this appears to be a simplistic game of flicking a golf ball towards the pin. An arcade mode limits your shots or you can relax in 'Endless Mode', with the main promotion being that "there is always one more level". (nuGAME, $4.99) - This aims to blend Breakout and Pong mechanics, with the chance to chase high scores or compete against the AI.Wii U eShop
(Lemondo Games, $9.99) - This appears to be a game focused on fast-paced and chaotic arena battles, but beyond versus local battles there's also a campaign that can be played solo or in co-op. There's a Viking theme and apparently "120+ co-op and versus levels", so in principle this seems like one to watch closely. (Nitrolic Games, $9.00) - This appears to be an expansion / follow-up to the original , which 'includes all three chapters of Citadale' and continues the story. We gave the original a . (nuGAME, $4.99) - The same as the New 3DS title, albeit in this case local multiplayer is also an option. (RCMADIAX, $1.49) - Previously released on New 3DS this recreates sliding tile puzzles, but in this case you're trying to arrange numbers into the right order.Wii U Virtual Console
(Konami, $5.99) - A side-scrolling action game from the TurboGrafx-16 era, this is a colourful and fun title for those that enjoy a bit of retro gaming. We certainly - doesn't time fly? As always Nintendo of America wants you to browse the eShop and check out the for discount details. Some interesting options on offer this week, so let us know what you'll be downloading in the poll and comments below. What will you be downloading this week 1 251 votes
NBA Playgrounds (Switch eShop)%Blazing Star (Switch eShop)%Blaster Master Zero (Switch demo)%Infinite Golf (New 3DS eShop)%Triple Breakout (New 3DS eShop)%WinKings (Wii U eShop)%Citadale - The Legends Trilogy (Wii U eShop)%Triple Breakout (Wii U eShop)%FIFTEEN (Wii U eShop)%Bonk's Revenge (Wii U Virtual Console)%Nothing for me this week% Share: Comments ) Now starts the 8 hour wait for the Europe update, Anyone know if we get NBA Playgrounds too? Looking forward to NBA Playgrounds on Tuesday. Blaster Master DLC/Update for me I believe it releases on the 9th here I love 2 on 2 arcade NBA games! Looking forward to NBA Playgrounds! Definitely want that demo. Will most likely get Playgrounds but not sure when. I will be downloading the Blaster Master Zero DLC character later today. Oh ok, Thanks Hey, thanks for reminding me. Don't want to miss the window. I haven't done a basketball game in a long time. Both kids are playing now (in real life) so we could maybe have fun with NBA Playgrounds. I'll definitely give it a chance but want to see general reaction to it first. Maybe we could take it to their games and right after they play set it up and play a round, right there. lol. Glad Nintendo is showing that strong support for the 3ds that they keep talking about. Lol, hopefully there are some good discounts this week. Will wait on review of NBA and to see if it has online. Seems like a weak week luckily I've got some MK8 Deluxe to play this weekend and start unlocking karts and stuff since I haven't had much time to play it. Wonder if the Europe team have to manually go through the three eshops after the store updates and compile their list. I can't think why else they can't even get it just before the store updates. Rather pathetic compared to how it use to be like clockwork monday morning. NBA playgrounds looks like a blast though and switch eshop says 9th may in their coming soon bit. Looks like nothing new today. GREAT to see some Wii U content! However, I don't want any of those. Maybe there will be a surprise in the Sales section... still need Axiom Verge and one or two other Indies. "As always Nintendo of America wants you to browse the eShop and check out the official sales and deals website for discount details." It seems that Nintendo really wants you to check its website: for the last 2 weeks, not even a mention of worthy titles to download. congrats to rcmadiax for getting a switch devkit heh. nba playgrounds fo'me fo'sho. definately getting playgrounds...... although im from the uk and dont like basketball NBA street was a staple of the gamecube gaming diet Why do I have a feeling they're going to wait until the last of the Smash amiibo get released to put Smash 64 up? It's due on 9th May in Europe too, yeah. Nothing for me again. Oh well I have four 3DS games that I haven't really played yet, Untold 2, Moco Moco Friends, RF4 and Lord Magna. Plus in two weeks the new Fire Emblem is out. No Blaster Master demo for 3DS?For you guys wanting to hear if NBA Playgrounds is good before you decide, Polygon did a preview article that was enlightening
