Leading them from the front, he received the much eluded Finals MVP award for the first time. With his fourth ring, Curry has become one of the very players to win 4 championships. However, it’s not just about the number of rings. Titles definitely add weight to the resume, however, that isn’t the only criteria. The ‘Baby faced assassin’ is already the best shooter to ever grace the hardwood. And with this recent achievement, Curry has made strides in the all-time greats list. Fisher was a teammate of the dynamic duo and has won the NBA championship 5 times with the . At the moment, Stephen Curry has as many titles as O’Neal and one less than and Duncan. Even though he will be 35 years old next season, he and the Warriors have every chance to defend their title successfully. He is also one of the very few players to win back-to-back regular season MVP awards. If he could add one more ring to his name, that will make take him up the ladder. The criticism is given more weight because he didn’t win the Finals MVP awards on the first three occasions. In 2015, he won his first ever MVP award by 23.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game. However, he shockingly lost the Finals MVP award to teammate Andre Iguodala. In 2016, he regained the MVP award by averaging 30.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game. But, the lost the finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the Warriors would then win the next two finals against the Cavs. And Kevin Durant won the finals MVP award on both occasions. Curry has only one Finals MVP award to his name. However, even Kobe Bryant only has 2 Final MVP awards to his name. Because Shaquille won the award on the other three occasions. So that should not be a reason to rate him bad.
