As kids, we often heard the common myth that if you dug a hold deep enough, you might end up in China. The truth is that we'd end up somewhere entirely different. Even more mind-blowing, there is currently no way to do that in a fell swoop. That’s because there are no commercial airlines capable of traveling that far, non-stop, with a full plane of passengers. Apparently, Singapore Airlines holds the record for the longest scheduled commercial flight, which flies from Singapore to New York’s JFK. That covers about 90% of an antipodal distance. Read more:
