A New Secret Has Been Found In The Master Trials For Breath Of The Wild Nintendo Life

The game that keeps on giving by Share: is a game that feels infinite in many ways, with an extremely densely packed and massive overworld that contains untold amounts of secrets and easter eggs. Now that it’s been over a year since release, it was more or less expected that the unstoppable force that is the internet would’ve combed through the game and found every little iota, but a fan recently discovered a new secret in The Master Trials DLC that had gone hitherto unnoticed. A Reddit user by the name of kamuilyn noticed that the seven monks that surround the Master Sword in the DLC are actually mirroring the poses of the seven sages from . Sure, it isn’t an enormous revelation, but it stands as a testament to Nintendo’s attention to detail, and it makes one wonder what other subtle nods have been tossed in that the community still has yet to uncover. What do you think? Had you noticed this before? Do you think more secrets like this could be still yet hidden? I suspect there are plenty more like this to be found. They're attention to detail in the main franchise is wonderful. I've noticed Nintendo doesn't make coincidences, it's kinda cool. I like it I don't understand why people are getting so worked up about this. Like, maybe it'd be interesting if every monk wasn't shamelessly copy and pasted and we actually had monks that were of the races? Dang, nice touch! They aren't. Their poses and outfits vary widely. I wouldn't be surprised if no two monks are the same. Man that is so cool! Such a cool little tribute yeah, you can clearly notice how varied they are in the picture above lol. nuff and well said Considering they even positioned the three Silent Princesses behind Master Sword to reflect the flowers in Link to the Past it's not that surprising. How awesome That brings a smile to my face! Wow. A good find I knew there had to be something to their poses, and had noticed that there was the same number of monks as there was sages, so did suspect some sort of connection, but I hadn't got round to going back to look into it further. Haven't gotten deep into the Master Trials at all, but nonetheless, that's a delightful discovery. This is how you do nostalgia. Impressive to see Princess Ruto has already hit Rank X. She may be based off a Hammerhead Shark, but she's clearly a squid kid at heart. Maybe some people just think it’s a cool reference? ?‍ Interesting. Ocarina of Time is still my favorite Zelda game, but I haven't played it in so long that I forgot about the Sage that you meet in the Temple of Time. I can't even remember his name. I do have another question, though. If those 7 monks represent the 7 Sages, then what about the 7 heroins statues in BotW? I only ask because OoT and BotW are the only 2 Zelda games that I've played through to the end. They're copy/pastes yes, but as people mentioned they're not shamelessly so; every one of the 127-something monks differ by way of clothing, apparel and pose. Name one other game that does something unique to that many instances of a recurring character/object. Thats really cool. But that’s not a secret. Its an easter egg or reference. Now playing a flute in front of a pond to find a staircase or something... thats a secret to everyone. “extremely densely packed.... overworld” We must have played different games. the big problem with the shrines is that feel tacked on and disconnected from the world. the rest of the game is very organic until the shrines. The problem is compounded by the fact that when you enter it is via an elevator. It would have better if the shrines were in caves or part of ruins etc. Nice.
