Celeste Dev Confirms TowerFall Is Coming To Switch
Celeste Dev Confirms TowerFall Is Coming To Switch Nintendo Life "I'm working on it right now" by Share: developer Matt Thorson has revealed via Twitter than he is bringing his previous game TowerFall to the Nintendo Switch. The 2D mulitplayer action title began life on the Ouya Android console (remember that?) and was later released on other formats to incredibly positive reviews in 2014. In many ways, the Switch is the perfect platform for TowerFall's social gameplay; with a single console and four Joy-Con, you can have TowerFall tournaments anywhere. Our pals over at Push Square gave the game , saying: TowerFall Ascension is a game that relies heavily on your social life. The mechanics are entertaining, the presentation is charming, and the whole affair is top fun – assuming that you have some friends to play with. The lack of an online option is a great shame, but don’t let that deter you from the Quest mode, which is still good fun played solo. You’ll need pals to get the most out of this package, though, as multiplayer is where the release really shines. Let us know if this is a title you'll be buying on Switch. Rumours that he turned down a role in The Hobbit to work on Nintendo Life are, to the best of our knowledge, completely and utterly unfounded. Comments ) Yeah, it's one of those that are alright on PC but perfect for the Switch due to pick up and play multiplayer.
But I'm waiting for Duck Game first and I'm also awaiting any information about InvinisGun Heroes. And come to think of it, Risk of Rain would be great, although not sure about the controls (it would probably require two double joy-cons/pro controllers) or visuals (the main character is tiny, maybe too tiny for Switch's display). Nice. Celeste is one of my favourite games ever so I'm interested to check out what else they've made. Not sure if I'll get the chance to give the multiplayer a go or not though. Will probably pass on this due to my current social setup. Still have Celeste in my "to buy" list but waiting for that physical release. Excellent news to wake up to. I've been waiting for this since the Switch's launch! If only it included online multiplayer.. "Is a game that relies heavily on your social life" So not for me then. "TowerFall Ascension is a game that relies heavily on your social life" I'm out. Another good local multiplayer game? It’s got my attention. As long as it’s fairly easy to pick up. To be fair, we've known that Towerfall is coming to Switch for over a year. And Matt has said before that it would come after Celeste is done. This is mainly just a reminder. "It's still going to happen!" as he put it. In a way, I like the concept of an affordable little console like Ouya. Too bad the marketing, games and other things didn't work out. Well, I'll be grabbing this day one. I’ve spent HOURS on the single player too, and it’s extremely good. Although there is something special about this game’s multiplayer. 1-8 players, co-op or vs, local only. I pretty much only do multiplayer if the other people are in the room with me, so this game was made for my friends and I, haha. We love it. If you want online multiplayer, get it on PS4. The game is built for local only, but PS4 Screen Sharing makes any game work online. I played a lot of TowerFall online with 2 people in my house and 2 people at a friend’s, despite the game not natively supporting that. I'd insta-buy a physical dual release of Celeste and Towerfall. Hope this studio keeps on producing for years to come. Yeah, I say go for it. The gameplay is fun as hell whether you’re playing alone or with others. I’m definitely buying it again, haha. Have the Invisigun developers mentioned porting to Switch? That game is a ton of fun. I'd play it so much more on Switch. the small characters wouldn’t b a problem. I played risk of rain on vita and it was fine. In March they have partnered with DO Games, a porting company that has ported Adventure Pals to consoles. They have Switch in their portfolio. oh my god, this! The flinthook/ mercenary kings limited run set is lovely! This developer is very good. Tower fall is one of my favorite games of all time. The controls are incredibly spot on and it's stupidly fun with a friend. I absolutely love Celeste too.
I'm lamenting the lack of D pads for the switch though...The one of the pro controller is not very good. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
