The Repco Supercars Championship driver is currently in talks surrounding his debut in the 2023 NASCAR season. And is now preparing for his World Rally Championship debut. However, in a conversation with Wide World Sports, Gisbergen revealed his plans of driving in NASCAR. ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad During the interview, he said that he is in talks with Justin Marks, TrackHouse Racing owner about his debut. Gisbergen’s entry into the stock racing sport would be a part of TrackHouse’s Project91 initiative. However, Gisbergen made it clear that the talks would come to fruition only if there are no clashes with NASCAR races and Supercars events. But fans do not seem that happy with Gisbergan’s decision. In a recent Facebook post announcing his decision, motorsports fans slammed him and his behavior while driving at the Supercars. Reacting to the news, a Facebook user wrote, “Good luck to him NASCAR is proper racing not like what supercars have turned into.” Whereas another fan said, “The NASCAR boys might teach him some manners, he won’t be the little pet there.” On the other hand, another user wrote; “See ya later. Go play with the big boys. I might enjoy watching Supercars when you’re gone.” Apart from Gisbergen, Kimi Raikkonen made his NASCAR debut with Trackhouse’s Project91 earlier this year.
