Video: Can A Headstrap Really Fix Zelda VR And Labo VR? Nintendo Life

We put the Sweat Proof Gaming strap to the test by Share: on is a great introduction to the world of Virtual Reality for Switch owners, but the much-hyped VR support it brings to is a little disappointing – we found that it was disorienting enough to make us feel , in fact. Part of this is down to the fact that the Labo VR headset is never actually attached to your head, and you have to use the Joy-Con connected to the Switch itself. It's not the most comfortable of setups, which is why has released the , which consists of some foam pads and a strap which allows you to use Labo VR hands-free. Installation is easy – the strap itself simply fits around the Switch and doesn't require you to modify the Labo VR headset in any way – but does it make Zelda any less nauseating? Watch the video above to find out. He swears the sealed Labo Kits sitting in his closet are going to be worth “big bucks” someday... Comments ) Alex looks different When did Alex get so hunky? In the words of Patrick Star, "Who are you people?!?!" Aside from that, this was actually a neat video with an especially lovely intro. Nice job Zion, looking forward to seeing more from you in the future. When Zelda is not developed with VR in mind...why add it in after it released? Its not tailored for a good experience. ESPECIALLY in 3rd person behold Nintendo's half ass VR cash in within all its glory (vomit) Can A Headstrap Really Fix Zelda VR? No No Alex = No View. Hello there lovely peeeeeeee...WAIT WHO IS THIS So I watched the vid to the end. When people say - "Tap that like button" - is that actually something we can do here on NL or do we have to be on YT, b/c I'm pretty much never actually on YT? I've been subscribed for years, that doesn't seem to be a problem. This video needed to end w/ Zio looking in the mirror and determining if the use of the strap is worth having to redo his mussed up hair. Ooh - piece of eye candy! Stop messing with your hair........... When wasn't he? I tried a method like that, but the two problems I ran into are the same that's present in this product; The top strap isn't centered, and having the straps at the back pushes the unit against your face. I wound up just buying a 'clearance' (usually $4-$5) vr set for phones at Walmart. I took off and reused the foam support, then used small 2"x2" velcro squares to attach the strap to the cardboard on the sides and top. You can’t half ass VR. The PS4 pro struggles with it. This is Alex 2.0, with higher resistance to VR-induced nausea The strap (or lack of) is really not the problem. But the scene of face down on the floor to hold it in place was a solution for my boredom at work... good laugh! most VR headsets that involve sticking a device in are half-baked ideas. A headstrap is not going to fix the blurry low resolution mess that is Labo VR. Wierd. They don’t sell in or ship to england Does every guy nowadays need to have two arms like we're supposed to believe they belong to the Hell's Angels or something? Chronic fashion statements, brilliant idea. And yeah, Labo VR. The worst VR combined with the worst Labo. Brilliant idea. A strap isn’t going to fix the ultra lame cardboard VR attempt that Nintendo tried to pull off. The strap would be great if Labo VR was ever actually available to buy in a store near me. Weeks later and they still have only had 3 for sale in total. I had a headstrap the first time I launched BOTW VR. No it cannot. It was a waste of $15. Doesn’t need fixing. Works a charm. Still haven't gotten around to constructing my labo VR kit. Every time I think about it it seems like too much trouble. That was a good video, especially the beginning bit. excellent point about the strap not being centered. I bet you can fix that. So, I love the idea about Zelda VR. In practice, the resolution is low, and (am I the only one with this problem) I can see the pixel grid...so it looks like I'm playing the game and a window screen is between me and the screen. Blah... Waiting for that more powerful, higher resolution Switch... Not going to fix it. At some point I will get vr but it will be my for my PC but the downside for me is that I don't have the space suitable for vr. The only way to center the top strap with this type of setup is cut the cardboard a bit. The opening is offset like the fan vents. And that ‘screen door’ effect is the lines in the goggle lenses. But I’m guessing a higher resolution (meaning more power) wouldn’t need such deep cuts in the lenses. But I’m just guessing, I don’t know the science of it. I just tried BotW VR with the head strap. It's neat. It's definitely better not having to hold it up to my head. The 3D effect reminds me of OoT on the 3DS. Unfortunately, the latter remains a superior experience. The resolution is just too low for anything more detailed than N64 level graphics. Pro tip: turn off motion tracking if you're experiencing motion sickness. I'm honestly surprised that Nintendo released this mode at all for BotW. SMO seems like the more logical choice, as it at least has the frame rate to support it more comfortably. I'm glad to see Nintendo dipping it's toes into VR. Whenever there is a Switch with a 4K screen, (maybe Switch 3) VR could be feasibly and comfortably implemented in 1st party games. Hopefully, there would be a proper plastic headset with inside out tracking for 6dof. Until then, I'm really looking forward to the Oculus Quest release.
That is the idea of "Labo" I guess Absolutely not. Switch hardware is not sufficient for good vr. Then again my definition of good vr is only doable on a mid-high range gaming pc, with a dedicated vr headset and decent motion controls. Not trying to be like pc elitist, and I'm sure consoles will be sufficient eventually but I feel like the vr on current consoles is just an afterthought and is completely unrealistic to expect much out of. When the console is built with vr in mind, then it might be good assuming the hardware is both up to it as far as horsepower but still accessible for the masses. Good idea to solve the problem like that. I hope it does not push on his face too much. Maybe not for Nitendo, but VRHeadStrap.com on the other hand has good vr head strap for Windows Mixed Reality headsets like Samsung Odyssey+ or Lenovo Explorer, Dell Visor, Asus WMR. I bought one and I am using it. So I can recommend it. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
