The strikes of his ‘sniper’ left hand, have taken the lights out of some of the best in the business. ‘Mystic Mac’ is also a merciless trash-talker, which brings him even a bigger fan following. McGregor had last graced the Octagon in 2021, where he suffered a terribly broken shin bone, and lost to Dustin Poirier, due to a Doctor’s stoppage. Since then, McGregor has been on the hunt to get back to the Octagon. Still, he keeps his fans updated about his training and lifestyle, by uploading videos and posts through his social media handles. The video posted by showcased him sparring with a partner. McGregor was also seen throwing a few punches, although he preferred to call this ‘Grappling’. View this post on Instagram ‘Mystic Mac’ captioned this video as, “Ya’s little grappling ticks don’t forget what Helio said. This is for fighting! I tie my crocodile belt in the name of Helio! @sbgireland.” It was apparent that he was paying homage to the founder and developer of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, ‘Hélio Gracie’. Despite receiving a healthy number of comments, fans didn’t seem very pleased with this video. Most of them opted to take a dig at McGregor, mentioning his partner was reluctant in the session. The UFC Hall of Fame fighter, ‘Urijah Faber’ commented, “Was punching in the rules.” He ended his comment with a laughing emoji, which clarified his mocking tone. McGregor himself captioned this video as ‘Grappling’, but Faber found it really funny that McGregor was throwing punches amidst a grappling session. ‘Mystic Mac’ chose to throw back at ‘Urijah Faber’ commenting, “I gonna show up to your spot one day. He is not even throwing back !” He clearly implied that McGregor needed better training partners in order to return to the Octagon with full force.
