The 7-time world champion was greeted with boos from some of the crowd members. Lewis denied local boy Sergio Perez a P2 finish as he fended off any challenge thrown at him by the Mexican. Hamilton’s teammate Russel suggested a similar strategy to Daniel Ricciardo, which worked wonders for the Aussie driver. Despite a 10-second penalty, the McLaren driver finished an impressive P7.
