He’d much rather just have a night in with Mario Kart and a pizza, and we can’t say we blame him. Comments ) Ouch, didn't think Noih 2 would flop that hard. Way worst than the first one, such a good game. Happy for Animal Crossing, Nintendo does it again. Dang, that's sad. Nintendo does it again! Another great Switch exclusive! My brother was explaining to me that Dragon Quest 11 still opened better in Japan at 2 million. This is true, but that was across Ps4 and 3ds. 1.1m and 900k respectively. With that being said, imagine Animal Crossing being multi-platform. Persona 5 Royal flopped in Japan also. The others haven't released, other thend Animal Crossing so I'm not sure how they'd effect Nioh. With everything going on in the world, I wouldn’t be surprised if people who were holding off on purchasing it ran to buy it this time. This game has been extremely beneficial to have while locked up at home. I can connect with my friends and make new ones as well, plus play a really fun game. I’ve enjoyed this one way more than New Leaf, which I didn’t think was possible. I’m happy to see Nintendo has had brilliant success with this game despite the world almost grinding to halt in most places. That's what I want to see, the digital numbers. O I gotcha, hopefully RE3 or FF7 sell good. Nearly 400k consoles sold in a single week, unreal! Yeah, real shame for Nioh 2 as its a great game. The best game of that style of genre that i have played. Congrats on AC's success tho. Ive dabbled in past games in the series but none have grabbed me like this one. I now see what all the fuss is about. Man those charts listing my sting Sony bunnghole now. If they only support the Vita that would be different. ACNH looks to be the new rage going forward. It just helps sell more console for Switch and with production lows from CV19 that makes demand even higher. Totally what the world needs right now. Good natured, breezy fun with some excellent messaging. Stay in but go to a desert island. Isolation never felt like such a getaway! Such is the Power of Nintendo! Darth Vader: The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the Power of Animal Crossing. That's what we call a system seller in my hometown. One of the sites that are frequent quite regularly is known as Resetera, funnily enough some people are over there losing their collective minds and of course I'm there celebrating. Nintendo has completely took this industry by storm. For them to sell this many consoles at this time during a crisis is simply Amazing. Crazy. The switch has outsold the wii there. That's wild and amazing. If Animal Crossing were on multiplatforms, Nintendo won't move so many of their systems. What I'm really surprised is that Japan still has 7,000+ Ring Fit to sell. I've been looking for one, and can't find one anywhere in the US. The Switch sold 330,000 units in its launch week back in March 2017. 3 years later, the Switch sold 393,000 units during the week of Animal Crossing's launch. Absolute insanity. Looking at the Switch/Lite sold consoles ratio might suggest that they could have sold more of the stock was bigger?
I am surprised of the sudden stock they came up with after the last few weeks though? Did Nintendo hold some consoles back before to have more at launch? I love this. Shows that games don’t have to be murder fests, sports games or full of impractically clad young girls to be a success. More games for everyone. This really is amazing. I hope this motivates Nintendo to support the game for a nice long time. Like they did with Splatoon 2 or even longer! On another note though, now that AC is out - what's Nintendo's next move. On the horizon (pun intended) all we have are the Xenoblade remaster and Pokemon DLC - both of which I really want, but that's not 9 months worth of releases. If I read that correctly Animal Crossing sold half of Smash Ultimate's lifetime sales in 3 days?
