And it's just gone on sale, too by Share: on The quirky, 'romantic comedy roguelite-RPG' has been treated to a pretty substantial update today on Nintendo Switch, and the base game's been put on sale, too. The update, called 'Dandy Dungeon II: The Phantom Bride', is said to more than double the size of the original game. Intrigued? - Collaborations with world renowned Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu and Touhou Project’s Zun! Dandy Dungeon ~Legend of Brave Yamada~, to give it its full name, was already a treat to play before this update. When , we said its light-hearted approach to story-telling and its puzzle-based combat and exploration make for a refreshing take on the often stale roguelite formula. It's one to check out, for sure. Starting from today, the game will also be placed on sale to lure in any potential newcomers. If you want to get stuck in, you'll find the game available on the Switch eShop for $13.29 / €11.19 / £10.14. Are you a fan of the game already? Comments ) Wait so this isn't just a cheap Dragon Quest rip off that the splash screen makes it look like? I may pick this up then as a game to play to calm down between the intensity of my Animal Crossing sessions i am still bit cautious with its price. I blame the fact that I am a cheapskate. I grabbed this while it was on sale at some point but haven't even thought about playing it. Probably should check it out one day. LOL LOL LOL ???
Whose idea to create Naked Mario (Yamada) + Dragon Quest ? Cool! I really enjoyed my time with this game. Looks like it's time to go back to it This game is a blast, grab the demo. Cant wait to finally dive into 2. Been waiting forever to play it. This game is/was free on iOS and I played it a ton. Very hard in later parts but great fun. That said, it’s FREE. To pay over $10 is pretty crazy... can’t see that it’s worth that. It will be less than a dollar like the rest of the shovelware. Doubling the size of the game is a sure sign of the lack of effort it takes to make it and their willingness for a cash grab. Nobuo Uematsu and Zun.
Didn't think I would see those two in the same game before Smash Bros. I have the game just never got around to playing it. I don't see any so I guess it either comes in an update or will launch ladder with the eshop update. Try updating your game. Mine just got updated to version 2.0.0 "This game is/was free on iOS"
No, the game was not free on iOS. It was free to start, but it had microtransactions, as is par of the course for the mobile market.
So I gladly payed to play the game in a proper gaming platform, without artificial restrictions or microtransactions. Of course, releasing free DLC is the sure sign of a developer's "willingness for a cash grab".
Like those fellows who developed Shovel Knight, right? They also released free DLC that more than doubled the size of the game, so following your faultless reasoning, that's "a sure sign of the lack of effort it takes to make it and their willingness for a cash grab".
Yes, I can't look it up right now, but I'm pretty sure that both Dandy Dungeon and Shovel Knight are universally considered as lazy "cash grabs" by the people who have actually played them. Because if you haven't heard of it, it's shovelware... This particular "shovelware" comes from people who worked on games like Mario RPG, Chibi-Robo, Little King's Story, No More Heroes, and more. Onion Games is the real deal. Serious developers making unique games. Don’t play yourself I assure you I have heard of it. The dragon quest style logo is why it keeps grabbing my attention. I forgot I had actually meant to buy this. At this price I'm all over it.
It was free. Micro transactions doesn’t change that.
There was nothing you needed to pay for to beat that game or enjoy it to the fullest. If you wanted things faster, sure, but wasn’t necessary.
It’s not a PVP game where you’d be at a disadvantage.... No, it wasn't free. You could play it without paying any money, but in that case, you got a deliberately restricted version of the game. If that's good enough for you, fair enough, but you didn't get the same experience that paying customers get. Why is this not published by Nintendo?
I mean, it's by people who made a few Zelda games and other well-known Nintendo IP's. Is Onion Games a group of former Nintendo staffers going independent? Anyway, the Dandy Dungeon demo just released. Need to check this out, and their other games, Black Bird and MOON. The demo was fun, even if it just felt like simplistic gameplay. Its the weirdness that does it. Maybe I download the game someday. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
