Random: New Smash Bros. Mod Allows You To Download And Install Skins Directly From Minecraft Nintendo Life

Give Steve and co an alt look by Share: In , players have the ability to change their avatar's skin. There are even special packs featuring characters like Banjo-Kazooie, Joanna Dark, Master Chief and Super Mario. Unfortunately, in Nintendo's all-star fighting game , there are only so many alternate costumes for Steve. To make up for this, there's already a mod that allows you to download and install any skin from the of Minecraft. Java skins in . All from an in-game menu. - jam1garner (@jam1garner) It seems the character model for Steve is so similar to his Minecraft counterpart, swapping his skin with one from Minecraft isn't even a problem for Smash Bros. Ultimate - and it's all done within its own custom menu. What do you think of this skin swap feature? Should Nintendo have added something similar? Tell us down below. [source , via ] Related Games Share: About When he’s not paying off a loan to Tom Nook, Liam likes to report on the latest Nintendo news and admire his library of video games. His favourite Nintendo character used to be a guitar-playing dog, but nowadays he prefers to hang out with Judd the cat. Comments ) In before cease and desist letter go out because of this article. lol I mean, how different could the skins really be and still look like Minecraft skins? #knowsnothingaboutmoddingorprograming Oooh l can do this if l wanted to and l might will That's pretty neat! Would've been even cooler had they officially implemented this feature. I knew this was going to happen just wish they would have added a skin coustomizer in the game. That’s incredibly impressive in such a short period of time. It’s obvious when you think about it, they all share the same rig, it’s just the skin that’s different. IIRC, back in the day, Minecraft just exported skins as a flat image due to this very concept. @LiamDoolan Stop encouraging illegal practices. You work for an official Nintendo website. Next time I see NintendoLife encouraging illegal moding, datamining and hacking it's going to be reported directly to Nintendo. Respect the ownership not only of Nintendo but everyone's. lol calm down ^ That’s pretty neat and it should be made official. I say as someone who would not benefit as I don’t play minecraft. where is he encouraging it?
Do you mean REPORTING it? If a newspaper reports about a murder... are they encouraging it? Popbob is canon in smash now If a news station made an article reporting r*pe, would you report the article to the police for encouraging r*pe? And you spelt the username wrong. It's actually . Speaking of which, , do you see this s***? Btw that's a pretty cool mod. I wish that Nintendo actually added this themselves. Bro honestly what...
1) This site isn't in any way an "official" Nintendo site. It is essentially a fan site. The closest they get to official is reviewing games on Nintendo hardware.
2) If Nintendo really wants something gone, their lawyers will handle it. We've seen it countless times before. In a lot of cases, they take down things that aren't really causing any problems however it is their brand so it's respectable.
3). Honestly why are you so upset about this? I love Nintendo, I think it's a great company but honestly do you think they need you reporting an article about a modding community I'm sure they are very aware of and quite possibly could be considering dealing with at this moment. The richest company in Japan I am very sure has plenty of great, great lawyers. Honestly you gotta be out of your mind to think that Nintendo needs a random dude tattling on someone for publishing an article about a mod on a fan site. I really don't want to sound like a jerk but c'mon, if you really care at least target pirates or hackers instead of someone who wrote an article about a mod a different person made oh wait what sorry i took the comment asking you down. I meant was MY comment too mean. yours is completely fine and makes sense oh ok I removed my comment too lol That's not just a Minecraft thing. Most character textures in any game are stored on a single flat image. Check out Sims or Elder Scrolls mods some time if you're curious. ohhh okay lol That...that's really cool honestly This is so random Pretty impressive that it's been done already, but no way would they ever make this official Really wish this was in the game, but I can see why it isn’t. At least we got Gary! On the infintessimal chance Nintendo makes something like this official, we should be able to import data from other games with avatar stars (Pokémon Trainer, Robin, Villager, Corrin, Inkling, Byleth). Oh man, if is a troll then he's pretty dedicated to the bit. Nintendo isn't your friend. Stop trying to get senpai to notice you. Lmao, man the Nintendo weenies here are hilarious sometimes. Are you serious, buddy? This is a awesome thing that lets people implement their Minecraft skin near seamlessly without too much hassle, there's even a loadout GUI for multiple skins. Then you get THAT guy being a fanboy being a party pooper for some company that just wants your coin anyway. Just like the article Damien did for when homebrew users got crashing issues with the 35th Anniversary Collection and in Ryan's article "Nintendo Wins $2 Million In Lawsuit Against Switch Piracy Hack Store",. You target whether they should be reporting these things and see it as unprofessional material that shouldn't be on here. This is a really cool idea, Nintendo can probably implement this if they could but I guess there would be a lot of inappropriate art that they would have the hassle to moderate. Aw man I missed what he said it sounded funny tho. Look at me, look at me!!! aren't I good, look what I can do. BORING! I can see why this kind of thing wouldn't be official, quite a while back my skin was a gimp outfit i designed myself, i thought it was funny as heck at the time Doubt they would add any more modes into this game. Plus the only version of Minecraft on switch is bedrock. (Would be cool, but it would read off your game save file and that may require more work then needed on their part... Etc) This was inevitable. The OLDEST Anarchy Arena in Super Smash Bros. the guy was crying about how Nintendo Life was "promoting" illegal hacking and modding (I wouldn't say illegal because it's his game and he can do whatever with it but ok) and how if Nintendo Life did it again, he would report NL to Nintendo. Aka: A killer of joy
Steve in smash uses the exact same texture format as Minecraft Java. other than the eyes which are in their own polygon for blinking, you can just paste a skin onto steve or alex and it will work. though it's easy to just remove the blinking
however, the game doesn't have a full 2nd layer, only Alex has a partial one. we're working on a true full template for MC skins. my own input...
It's funny seeing a fellow modder getting on a big site like this. jam1gamer is really talented! So Alex isn't just a reskin but a slightly different model? I feel like this should've been implemented from the beginning
This is true. On her Scottish skin, she has a 2nd layer on her head, but only the actual layer is modeled. Enderman is also a new model. Check out the Smash Ultimate Gamebanana or Modding discord if you wanna learn more. They're reporting on it. That doesn't really reflect where they stand on it. You wouldn't encourage rape, murder or famine if you reported on those would you? Lol Constantine Remember Master Lee from Nintendo Miiverse
It's Mii Nintendo is Awesome ;^D this should be even in umodded game Would be great to turn a mii into a minecraft character. pop bob griefs the stage bruh chill I miss miiverse Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
