McDowell who drove for Joe Gibbs Racing as a replacement for Kyle Busch during the earlier years of his career decided to embody the ‘Wild One’s’ spirit on Sunday. ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad With a full-speed vehicle, McDowell rammed into Bowman’s car. And as a result, Bowman got inside the wall and damaged the front part of the vehicle. Owing to this, Alex Bowman dropped from the 15th position to the 34th. In a recent YouTube shared by NASCAR, the exact reactions of the two drivers have been recorded. As soon as McDowell made contact with the Hendrick Motorsports driver, Bowman said; “Oh, we got McDowell’d.” Moreover, Bowman’s spotter Kevin Hamlin said; “I don’t know if he knew you were there.” Whereas McDowell on the other hand was heard saying on his radio; “Did not mean to do that.” Well, no matter if it was intentional or not, all that NASCAR fans wish is for Alex Bowman to be safe. After his wreck at the Texas Motorspeedway, the Hendrick Motorsports driver announced that he would be taking a break from the next few races.

However, instead of three, Bowman was unable to participate for five races until the final race at Phoenix.
