Share: About Ryan can list the first 151 Pokémon all in order off by heart – a feat he calls his ‘party trick’ despite being such an introvert that he’d never be found anywhere near a party. He’d much rather just have a night in with Mario Kart and a pizza, and we can’t say we blame him. Comments ) I wish anime fans would quit pretending this kind of nonsense is nothing but generic and lazy. same character/personality types over and over, same outfits and hair, same exact head with different hair and change the eye color. good, but generic voice acting that literally every other anime character sounds like. Awful, pandering weeb cash grab garbage. I'm not seeing what this game does different over Melty Blood, or Under Night, other than maybe a tired and overdone art style. There's more unique and vibrant fighting game options on the Switch itself! Games making in the year 2021, marketing marketing marketing marketing, marketing, copy, paste, half done, release, patch! I really enjoyed the Phantom Breaker beat-em-up, but this just looks like several other games that I already own, or have avoided due to them looking like the others. The character roster just doesn't look interesting or diverse enough. well said. I'm an old-school anime fan. I can't stand a lot of today's anime, or many of the games built around it, for exactly these reasons. It's become an unimaginative, mass-produced shell of its former self. Well, the comments are spot-on, the game looks too generic. It's like melty blood without interesting characters, like arcana heart without the lewdness, like under night without personality, it's missing something like idk, some mech wearing a kimono or a bear with a skateboard or a maid with a horse head or something wacky like that To be fair I am a sucker of any decent 2D fighter so I'll probably end up getting this. Looks fine to me. I suspect I won't get it full price though. I can understand where people are coming from though. The game definitely has a decent general anime style. Visuals are nice. Like others, I'm a bit puzzled what "anime fighter" even means. It's almost like a parody in a sense as it's a collection of common, modern, zany anime tropes. But anime isn't a genre. Some of my favorite old fighters like King of Fighters 98 and The Last Blade are clearly anime influenced. The Last Blade was likely influenced by Rurouni Kenshin if I recall the timeline correctly. Then there was the Fist of the North Star 2D fighter, an actual anime fighter. This isn't a knock on this game and I'll definitely look for the review when it's ready. Lmfao I love the comments whining about the character's designs or whatever when this game is like, literally a port/special edition basically. These characters have been around for a decade, some longer than that.
As for me, I think it looks like a fun anime fighter. I was sold finding out Kurisu Makise is on the roster. Looks good. Definitely will add to my Wish List, but can the Switch version of Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds: Overdrive get online multiplayer now? Kinda the reason I bought it in the first place… Anyway it’s cool to have Trina Nishimura reprise her iconic role as Makise Kurisu. the people complaining about the game looking generic dont catch the girl with the Reimu outfit Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
