The former UFC and Bellator fighter’s demise news shocked the combat sports world on Sunday. However, the cause was earlier attributed to an undisclosed illness. The 38-year-old fighter won accolades with his one-punch knockout power. As a result, the American fighter earned his famous nickname, ‘Rumble.’ Johnson last fought at Bellator 258 and further was scheduled at Bellator 268 on Oct. 16, 2021. While writing that he couldn’t reveal the details of his illness, the fighter remained hopeful of his return in 2022.
