That you'd need some big strong late-game Pokémon to smash 'em to bits? Yeah, no. You can smash them from basically the beginning of the game. All you need is a Pokémon and a throwing arm. Just lob whichever Pokémon you like best at the big rocks, and they will take them down in just three hits. It's that easy. You'll even get a bunch of materials for your efforts, which can include rare evolution stones.
