Upcoming Switch Game 'Conan Chop Chop' Looks Like Castle Crashers Meets Conan The Barbarian Nintendo Life

Conan Crashers the Castlebarian by Share: on Conan Chop Chop recalls the heyday of multiplayer action games like Castle Crashers, with its stick-man roguelite party game mayhem that features both 1-4 player online and couch co-op. That's a lot of video gamey words, so in simpler terms: Conan Chop Chop looks like an excellent game to play with your friends who remember the Xbox Live Indie Game era. Conan Chop Chop has been developed by Mighty Kingdom, and published by Funcom, who are the developers of Age of Conan. The game will release on the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 1st, with a demo available on February 21st. with a demo available
Welp guess I’m gonna download ANOTHER demo! This doesn't look like my thing. I'd prefer a Conan side scrolling beat 'em up done in the gritty style of the 1982 movie. " To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!" This was announced in 2019, how the hell did development take so long? Crom, I'd really prefer a serious and true new Conan video game. "And if you do not listen, to Hell with you!" Thanks I hate it "I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content." I unfortunately stopped watching the trailer at the word roguelite. Looked fine before that and I'm sure it will be great for others. I just don't enjoy games where the core mechanic is around roguelike/roguelite gameplay. Crom laughs at your four players. Wouldn't it be awesome if the game actually looked like the thumbnail art?! ? Ever play the old NES game? I actually loved it as a kid. It finally got a release date? Good. Hopefully there won’t be another delay. I haven't actually. I oughta check it out. I have Legend on snes, which is pretty fun. It isn't officially a Conan game but might as well be. Or.... I can just play Castle Crashers which looks and plays awesome. They should have gone 80's gritty over the top Frazetta style. Lots of articles titled "upcoming game looks like X meets Y." The majority of which never get reviews. Poor Conan...such an amazing, creative and expansive world, and no one never managed to capture not even a glimpse of it, beyond the comics. castle crashers has aged terribly. and this looks terrible from go. eh. I'll withhold judgment until I've tried the demo. As far as castle crashers, B + Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y... is only fun for so long. I thought that too at first blush, but it actually has a pretty deep combo system. The unlockables and ability to change the game into basically a shmup is pretty awesome too. It's not for everyone but as far as Beat Em Ups go, Castle Crashers is definitely top 20. This looks alright, not 100 my tea but the more couch coop the better! Conan Dark Axe (I think it's called) for Gamecube and probably Ps2, Xbox is pretty cool. There's a lot of bugs and the AI is uhhh...interesting but it's actually one of the games I've had most fun with ever. I played Castle Crashers to death back when it initially launched. I probably unlocked at least 10 characters. Never made it past hard mode though because progression required never touching the ground or dying by the swarm of meat sponges. When replaying Castle Crashers recently, it just didn't really recapture the excitement I felt when I played it when it first launched. I can replay other beat em ups no problem. Even clearly dated ones like Final Fight or Streets of Rage. I think my personal favorite currently is Fight N Rage. Now that one has a truly fun and in depth combo system. Plus the different AI tactics that the enemy uses requires you to always be thinking and not just mashing. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
