Though the trailer shows a game that's still relatively early in development, there's plenty of creativity and style on show. Pleasingly the Switch is getting a good focus in the game's , including confirmation and pre-orders on a physical edition. [source ] Share: Comments ) Honestly the initial screenshot looked bad, but after watching the trailer.... maaaybe, I will watch out for this. Removed - unconstructive It looks like it will be a lot of fun! I like it, I´ll keep it on my radar. idk man, maybe thats being a little too harsh on a game that hasn't even come out Looks really nice. I'll definitly keep an eye on it. Sometimes 'new and refreshing' sounds so overused it seems to have lost all meaning long ago. Not specifically tied to this game, this one has the benefit of doubt still, but tied to all the same old, inspired by the same handful of classics, that haven't been new and refreshing for a long time. A bit like the 'alternative' kid that was the same as every alternative kid before and since. But again, I'm not criticising this game I don't know and that looks like a perfectly fun game, I'm looking at the words and the games I do know that claimed the same, and delivered the same as those before them, without saying those weren't perfectly fine games as well... I beg to differ but I suppose it depends on how many you’ve gotten to from the indie scene. Seems like too many of them are based off Metroid, Zelda and earthbound. Anything else immediately sparks interest for me. Honestly, going from the first screen I wasn't sure, but this trailer makes it look like it could be a fun game. Definitely going on my list to keep an eye out for I noticed this a few days ago and it caught my eye as something I might back.
Especially with the promise of a physical release. I am super intrigued by this, I will back them when I get paid on Friday This actually appeared on a mother direct! (Or earthbound direct of you don’t know what mother is) can't make an earthbound/zelda fangame without being told to make your own zelda/earthbound inspired game, can't make an earthbound/zelda inspired game without being called unoriginal, kind of a catch 22 for this sort of thing Lol, I believe its made by my fellow dutchmen? Geld means "money" in my language. think that's a common word between the germanic languages--there's a lot of possible places there! It looks interesting, saw a little bit of Princess Tomato in that inspiration too. But I'll pass on this. Well there's both turn based and real time battles in this so haters of one or the other had no reason to hate anymore. Now you get both in one package. Not a fan of the graphics. It's hard to get both good graphics & gameplay in an indie game, tho. I personally hate the "retro" style, but it's cheaper, so that's what we're stuck with. I hope I'm alive to see a generation where indies can be affordable to make without having to use this style of graphics. I realize there's a market for it, but there's also a market for better looking games, & the indie devs can only provide good art direction, at best, when wanting to make a big, ambitious game. They can't afford to invest much in the graphics until their 2nd installment, it seems. Hopefully, one day that will change. I also hope zelda-likes aren't extinct by then, cuz those are my favorites, but i cannot get immersed in games that i don't like the look of. kinda subjective but i see where you're coming from Yeah but then there's also games like Rime, Ultra Age, The Outer Worlds, and Trine which are great looking indie dev games that almost rival triple a games themselves. You might be right. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
