(Opinion) Gosh, NO ! ?‍
LEGO + Smash Bros style = Really terrible idea in my opinion.
Guess my LEGO game I like just only LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER. I'll take some Ninjago characters on Switch. OH HECK YEAH!!! LEGO and smash Bros style gameplay sounds like a no-brainer! Hopefully some of Wayforward’s Apple arcade games will get switch ports. Yea! Not another Smash Clone! I would never think to put lego in a fighting game, like who wanted this? Lego games are pretty good sometimes but this just looks bad.
Well, looks like we have complete opposite opinions huh. @zapswitch yep like for example a lego RPG game!
I bet people would think that’s a bad idea but I’m surprised they haven’t done anything like that sooner!
Like if a game dev decided to make a cartoon RPG (like make a rpg with cartoon characters) I will basically throw money at them! it's actually not too bad, its not like smash at all. Totally different gameplay style, but i can understand the inferred connection.
I have checked the gameplay of LEGO Brawl mobile version from YouTube and it was NO for me. Didn't even like in the slightest. Jeez what’s with the negativity? A quick search of this game on google shows that 95% of google users like so it mad be doing something right! It looks OK for a bargain purchase LEGO is cute with other IP's, but at its best within its own recognisable randomness. Sure, I won't say no to adding Batman and Gandalf in that plastic pile of pure playfulness. people just rather complain about what they don't get, or are offered but don't want, than take what they want happily and harmlessly, and say no thanks to the rest, with an understanding of the 'thanks' part. Yet when their entire life is governed and forced politically, they just accept. I don't get it. I mean I do get it, but I don't. Well if they put some more effort in it, I'd love the concept. But it looks pretty shallow tbh. Looks great. Will give it a try Again, people are still complaining that they ripped off Smash Bros.? It's called a genre, you can't own a genre, it's just like all those FPS games, all of them took from Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. Imagine if id Software patented FPS games after releasing Doom in 1993? We wouldn't have Duke Nukem 3D, GoldenEye, Half-Life, Unreal, Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Bioshock... Imagine if Chuck Berry patented Rock and Roll? We wouldn't have Elvis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Queen, Deep Purple... The problem is that this one just looks bad, the Nickelodeon game wasn't very good since it was made on a budget, but they tried. Without watching Arlo's reaction video, I'm guessing his headline was "Lego brawls HURTS me" followed by a 15 minute video of a blue puppet whining like the toxic fan he is, about how crap the direct was because it wasn't exactly what he hoped for. How much does it cost is my question that's fair tbh i really dont play it that much either way Wow. People are being pretty harsh on this one. Not saying it’s for me either but it has a 4.7 / 5 with 21,000+ reviews on Apple Arcade so must be doing something right. If it doesn't let me play as Chase McCain from LEGO City Undercover, I'm out. "Better let me play as a Ninjago character" is my new motto. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
