Super Woden GP Brings Retro Isometric Racing Back To Switch This Month Nintendo Life

Start your engines by Share: on Eastasiasoft has announced that will be screeching onto the Switch next week, 9th November, and its latest trailer (above) is giving us all of the retro racing vibes. There are enough racing games out there to fill a starting grid 100 times over, so Super Woden GP is looking to stand out from the competitors by reversing in time rather than accelerating forward. Framed from an isometric perspective (, anyone?) with the low-poly graphics of titles like on the PS1 (or, indeed, on the GBA), this racing title sets out to be a blast from the past. While it might not look quite as expansive as the other games in the genre, there is a campaign mode and split-screen multiplayer for up to four drivers so there is potential for this to work in the lower-stakes party environment - after having finished with , of course. For an idea of some of the features that the game has to offer as well as a look at that retro aesthetic, check out the following from eastasiasoft: - Advance your career across a world map of possibilities!
- Race through forests, cities, deserts, snowy landscapes and more.
- Collect more than 70 vehicles, from compacts to rally cars and even prototypes!
- Repaint any of your vehicles at the shop.
- Compete in local split-screen multiplayer for up to 4 racers! Images: eastasiasoft Super Woden GP releases on Switch 9th November for the pretty reasonable price of £10.99 / 11.99€ / $11.99. If you have exhausted (pun intended) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe while we wait for the next wave of courses and fancy a different kind of racer, perhaps this could be worth taking for a spin.

[source ] Share: Comments ) I love the "eaudee coupé" they used to sound like the brand they don't have rights ! It looks ok though probably destined to be in the sale in no time I really like top down racers….might eventually give this a go…. Reminds me that I still haven't finished PixelJunk Racers. Hope you guys review it on NL! LOVE isometric racers!!! Hope the handling is good tho Looks really nice, all about the handling though. Last good one of these I played was Mantis Burn Racing on PS4, really enjoyed that. Still got Art of Rally in the pile of shame. I came close to buying this on Steam but was put off by reviews that said there's no AI at all. The CPU cars are on rails and just stick to set routes around the track. Oh wow. I actually love car games with this view, looking down on the cars. This game looks great. Remember me Neo Drift Out! Did you hear about the Woden car? It had Woden wheels, Woden doors, and a Woden engine. It Woden go! Oh, Art of Rally is excellent! Although I played it on PC, so I don't know if the Switch version is good. That is a perfect joke. I'm jelly. lol
It's based on a joke that my dad used to tell all the time, about the "wooden car". I just thought that it might work with "Woden" too. it works perfectly! Oh I LOVE games like this and this one is good. I'm enjoying playing it. I had an isometric car game on my iPod touch years ago and I remember getting well into it. I'm looking for one that handles a little snappier though. More cartoon-like. Maybe like Micro Machines on the Mega Drive. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
