Ninja Explains Why He Has Stepped Away From Fortnite s Competitive Play During Season 2

Ninja isn't happy with many of the changes made to Fortnite for Season 2, and also feels the competitive seen is nonexistent. via Dailymotion Ninja has stepped back from competitive play during Fortnite Chapter 2's second season and recently opened up about why that is. Chapter 2: Season 2 is in full swing at this point, but things still feel very different. It feels as if Epic has made more changes to the popular battle royale game than ever before, probably because the previous season was Fortnite's longest ever. Between the addition of minibosses and new locations, the game is almost unrecognizable compared to this time last year. Despite all of the time Epic gave itself to plan this new season, its competitive scene appears to be almost non-existent. There are the regular scrims and everything else that is always in place, of course, but nothing major like last summer's Fortnite World Cup in the pipeline. Perhaps that's a good thing considering the spread of the COVID-19 virus at present. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Ninja has spoken out about the latest Fortnite season in a couple of ways thus far. One comment the streamer has made relates to the lack of anything to build toward competitively this season. He can't get his head around why other streamers are bending over backwards to prepare considering there is currently nothing to prepare for, reports . That's not the only problem Ninja has with Chapter 2: Season 2. Fans of the streamer might have noticed a severe lack of Ninja in competitive matches, especially over the course of the last week or so. That comes off the back of Ninja letting fly about Fortnite's building mechanics. "You’re getting shot through walls, builds aren’t placing, players are teleporting," Ninja exclaimed midstream while playing Duos with SypherPK recently. "That’s why I’m not playing in the scrims anymore, my whole chat is like ‘the scrims are so beneficial’ but they’re really not." On top of all that, both Ninja and Tfue were not impressed with what appeared to be an unannounced buff to NPC henchmen down on Fortnite Island. We're surprised Ninja hasn't gathered up fellow streamers and resorted to playing UNO for the night as he has been known to do in the past when Fortnite isn't to his liking. Seems as if it'll take the reveal of a big tournament of some sort to get the streamer back on track at this point. Source:
