There are plenty of big-time threats left in the Spidey universe, and we're hoping Insomniac Games goes all out once again. via FilmSchoolRejects.com Now that has officially been announced for the , it's time to start speculating which villains will make their debut that we haven't already seen. The gave us plenty of heavy hitters, including Doctor Octopus, Electro, Vulture, Kingpin, Scorpion, and a few others, but Insomniac has merely scratched the surface. There are plenty of big-time threats left in the Spidey universe, and we're hoping Insomniac Games goes all out once again. Here are five villains that need to appear in the upcoming game. Kraven the Hunter
via GeekTyrant.com Despite being one of the most interesting Spider-Man villains, we haven't seen many interpretations of Kraven the Hunter outside of the comic books. The character's obsession with killing the wall-crawler to become the greatest hunter on earth could provide for a considerably compelling storyline. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Kraven is no ordinary hunter, either. Instead of using weapons, he prefers to take down his prey using only his bare hands. He holds a handful of different supernatural abilities, including enhanced strength, hearing, sight, smell, and extreme physical durability. He also ages incredibly slow, being over 70-years-old despite looking as if he's in peak physical condition. Mysterio
via SEA.IGN.com Mysterio may have been absent from the first game, but given his recent appearance in the 2019 movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, it would make sense that Insomniac would introduce the villain in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Despite having no real powers of his own and relying on special effects and misdirection, Mysterio has proved himself time and time again to be a viable foe to the wall-crawler. His Insomniac debut could also serve as a callback to the classic 2004 Spider-Man 2 game, where Mysterio appeared as one of the game's many villains. If the are true, there's a good chance that it'll happen. Green Goblin
via Pinterest.com Green Goblin did not appear in 2018's Spider-Man game, but the character who historically turns into the villain, Norman Osborn, had a huge role. It would only make sense that Norman eventually evolves into the Goblin, and it won't be surprising if that happens in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. As arguably Spider-Man's most iconic foe, the Green Goblin's glider and pumpkin bombs have been giving the wall-crawler trouble for generations. The character is traditionally in conflict with Peter Parker though, so he may be withheld from a game focused on Miles. Even then, Insomniac has proven that it's not afraid to reimagine the source material, so anything could be possible. Venom
via SyfyWire.com The most noticeable absence from 2018's Spider-Man for many was Venom. The symbiote sits at the center of one of Spidey's most iconic storylines, and after teasing that Peter's friend, Harry Osborn, would become the villain at the end of the first game, it only makes sense that he would appear in the next game. have certainly indicated this, although it all depends on Insomniac's plans. If a Peter Parker-focused Spider-Man game is planned after Miles Morales, then Venom could be saved until then. On the other hand, there's no indication that Peter won't be involved in the upcoming game's storyline, and Venom could very well make his debut. Either way, we can't wait to see the symbiote appear in Insomniac's Spider-verse, and it'll certainly be a blast when it does finally happen. Prowler
via CBR.com Although Prowler had been a Spider-Man villain long before the second incarnation of the character, he is perhaps best known for facing off against Miles Morales as opposed to Peter Parker. After all, the villain appeared in Miles' comic debut in Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #1, where he was introduced as not only a villain, but also as Miles' uncle. Those who have seen the 2018 film, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, are already well aware of this storyline, and it makes sense that the upcoming game will follow the comic as well. Although having no superpowers, Prowler relies on gadgets and advanced technology to match up with Spider-Man, and we're sure he'll make for a great foe in Miles Morales.
