Called “Johnny Silverhand,” he’d actually portray a pivotal character in the Cyberpunk series and be the main plot point in Cyberpunk 2077. This came around the same time as John Wick 3 and the that also brought Keanu to the biggest battle royale game out there. And now, Keanu Reeves has arrived in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain thanks to an enterprising modder and their love for internet memes. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY From modder JinMar comes an elegant mod that inserts both John Wick and Johnny Silverhand into Metal Gear Solid 5, replacing Venom Snake as the main character. This will make it awfully jarring when you hear Keifer Sutherland’s voice coming out of Keanu’s face, but modding technology hasn’t yet made it easy to replace an entire character’s voice. Yet. via Nexus Mods Johnny Silverhand Getting Johnny Silverhand to work in MGS5 was actually made easier thanks to the main character’s already present bionic arm. Most of the mod is just a head swap with a custom Keanu model in place of Snake’s and a repainting of the robot arm so that it appears all shiny. As for John Wick, he just looks like his suave, suit-wearing self. via Nexus Mods John Wick Installing the mod is a simple matter. First, head over to and download the SnakeBite mod manager. From there, download the Keanu mod files and then input a certain code to replace Snake with either John Wick or Johnny Silvlerhand. Sunglasses are also optional with Silverhand. We still don’t know a whole lot about what Johnny Silverhand will do in Cyberpunk. It’s implied in the E3 trailer that Silverhand is actually dead and what you’re seeing is a holographic ghost. We assume this means that figuring out the mystery of what happened to Silverhand will be a big part of Cyberpunk 2077’s storyline, but it’s still way too early to tell. (via )
