A RunAway vs Lunatic Hai Legendary Overwatch Showmatch Is Happening

The legendary players from RunAway and Lunatic Hai come together for one final match. There are matches and teams that will live on forever within the professional Overwatch scene. Those who define the game and what it means to play at the highest level will continuously change, but those who truly pioneered the way everyone approached the game will go down in history. For RunAway and Lunatic Hai, their legendary APEX Season 2 Finals will be one of those moments and the iconic players that populated their rosters defined what it meant to be a professional Overwatch player. Both of those teams iconic teams no longer play together. The players of Lunatic Hai became the Seoul Dynasty while the RunAway roster became the Vancouver Titans. Through unfortunate circumstances, both these teams are no longer together. But the Overwatch gods have blessed us once more as a showmatch between RunAway and Lunatic Hai is coming, bringing the iconic names of the game together once more. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY On May 31st, the old guard of RunAway and Lunatic Hai will collide once more in what feels like a "one last ride" sort of scenario for most of the players involved. Following the release of the entire Vancouver Titans roster (formerly RunAway) this showmatch gives the players one last chance to compete together as teammates and friends. Almost everyone is back from the iconic Season 2 Finals including Jehong "ryujehong" Ryu who originally wasn't going to participate in the showmatch. Seeing the Lunatic Hai and RunAway rosters back together is an iconic moment in the scene's history and a beautiful sendoff for all involved. A plethora of big names will take the stage including Bumper, Kaiser, Runner, Haksal, Miro, Tobi and others. Lunatic Hai and RunAway are seemingly two sides of the same Overwatch coin. Lunatic Hai built one of the greatest professional teams the game has ever seen, with multiple players writing the textbook on their heroes including Miro on Winston and Ryujehong on Ana. Back-to-back APEX champions, Lunatic Hai dominated. RunAway on the other hand played the underdog reaching the top but not able to plant their flag as champions until they finally did in Overwatch Contenders. Both teams house some of the most iconic players in Overwatch history and both found their place among the greatest teams to ever grace the scene. A final sendoff for many of these players feels bittersweet, but it sure will be amazing to see.
