The kicks and strikes Shida used in the ring were also reminiscent of something players might have found familiar to a battle scene involving Tifa. That paired with a few strikes from a kendo stick (it was a no disqualification match) clinched the win for Shida. It's her first time as AEW Women's Champion and we hope to see her bring more FFVII characters to life during her title run.
