Assassin s Creed Origins 10 Side Quests You Should Definitely Follow Up On
Assassin's Creed Origins is packed to bursting with side quests, but these side quests, in particular, are totally worth following up on. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is on the way, but before it comes out it’s worth looking at the game that started this new wave of once more. gave us a compelling protagonist in Bayek, a man driven to seek revenge for the losses he’d gone through. But while Ubisoft often tries to resort to using revenge as a character’s primary goal in a game, Origins gave us plenty of other things to do to prove the lead character had more to him than that. This list is a series of quests players should definitely follow up on: they develop Bayek more as a character, make the player more powerful, or fill out the . THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY WILD RIDE
There’s literally no point in visiting ancient Egypt without getting to be a chariot rider. Wild Ride introduces the player to Nikias, a man in desperate need of a rider. Bayek gets to test out their chariot before later having to get the kidnapped prize horse of Nikias’ father. This is the player’s first introduction to chariot riding, where they learn the ropes, and later they can get involved in a riding mini-game. WRATH OF THE POETS
One of the more entertaining quests in Alexandria, Wrath of the Poets sees Bayek run into a bit of a problem with Phanos the Younger, a creative having his vision suppressed by the local law. He’s had all his people kidnapped, making it impossible to put on his current play. Helping him allows freedom of expression to reign, but it also leads to a quest later where Bayek defends Phanos from some guards. Phanos goes full warrior-poet here, aiding Bayek in battle. OLD TIMES
In an area close to Alexandria, Bayek will come to encounter an old friend—Sennefer. An old acquaintance from his home, Sennefer has changed his name to Claridas, competing in the Greek chariot races. Sennefer has... changed more than his name, however, and the player leaves with a rival for the chariot races. At the same time, this gives a glimpse into Bayek’s life back home. TOMB HUNTING
Look into cracking your way into every tomb. There are several of them across Egypt, and each one represents its own challenges. They’re filled with traps and require the player to remain on guard. Completing them rewards a skill point, which helps avoid the need to level up to fight specific opponents. A REBEL STRIKE
This quest is the second half of another quest in the game. After saving a rebel soldier from the forces of Ptolemy, the player has the option to help that soldier obtain revenge for his murdered parent. A resistance group is introduced, and Bayek briefly works with them to gain proper intel. Then, with the player’s help, they storm a location containing the enemy, and the rebel soldier is able to gain his revenge. THE CHAMPION
In Krokodilopolis, Bayek meets an old man engaging in a street fight. The old man was a former member of the arena, known for his many victories. Over the years, he’s become forced to settle for fighting near the arena for people who can’t afford to get in. With that, Bayek decides to help him win a few fights, while the old man “hones” Bayek’s talents. This is an example of the game’s myriad of interesting characters worth engaging in the side quests. ACCIDENTAL PHILOSOPHER
via assassinscreed.ubisoft.com Offered to the player early in the game, Accidental Philosopher sees Bayek requested to find a young man who’s causing his mother more trouble than he should. Bayek has to use his deductive skills to find this kid, who’s been pretty badly injured thanks to his own behavior. Bayek then guides him back to his home, where he can get yelled at by his mom. This quest is best attempted around level 19. PHYLAKES PREY
This quest begins after the player kills a Phylakitai hunting Aya. The player is then forced to deal with bounty hunters searching for them. This serves as a way to drastically alter the way the player tackles each new area they go into. However, other quests will allow the player to battle the Phylakes on even ground. Beating them will offer their . PLIGHT OF THE REBELS
This is quite a lengthy quest actually. Bayek is asked to find some young children that managed to get lost. The quest involves Bayek traveling to free some rebel soldiers, before being taken to where the children are. Located in two different areas, they require Bayek to be useful both in archery and in the blade. One of the children is actually quite talented, fighting against the forces of the Pharoah on her own, making for a potential recruit in the future. REUNION
Origins introduces the player to a number of characters from before Bayek set out on his goal. In Reunion, Bayek meets Tahira, a young woman with control over Bayek’s eagle Senu. Tahira asks Bayek for help with some of the wildlife that’s being taken by the Romans. Tahira is a delightful character, one that asks for Bayek’s help but doesn’t seem to require it, because she’s quite the capable warrior on her own. The two of them work together and wind up taking down a Roman encampment, and freeing... well, it’s best to play and see.
