Resident Evil 10 Plot Points That Were Completely Forgotten About

The Resident Evil franchise has grown massive, so naturally, there are a few forgotten plot points and orphaned storylines dotted throughout. Given the , sequels, and spinoff games that currently encompass the , there really should be a lot more forgotten plot points. Part of the charm of the series is that the stories are fairly tight, with many of the dropped threads from earlier years picked up and used in later games. With the release of Resident Evil 8 looming on the misty horizon, fans and players are hoping that a few of those unfinished storylines come to a conclusion. Whether it's an epilogue with a cliffhanger, a mysterious note, or an inconclusive death, the are a lot of plot points in that almost everyone forgot about. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Mystery of Jenny K

The first few games revolved around a player who uncovered some of Umbrella's worst secrets, and it wasn't until the fourth game that a lawsuit, of all things, took the company down. In Resident Evil 5, the player is dealing with the fallout of the company's collapse and they come across this letter regarding a former executive known only as "Jenny K." This person is relevant because she survived Spencer's attempts to assassinate the other executives, but she disappeared, and her whereabouts are never revealed.

Via: Rely On Horror The origin and purpose of Oswald Spencer's pet eugenics project have a detailed backstory, but the research and experiments didn't end with his death. Although all of the known children that came from Alex and Albert's experiments are officially deceased, it's never clear what happened to his research. This is especially dicey when it comes to Alex, who probably isn't dead but enjoying a new host body.

Steve Burnside

Sidekick, , or typical victim, every so often a video game gets a supporting character that gets enough attention to warrant some kind of backstory. Not only that, but Steve gets a full character arc and accompanies Claire throughout most of the game. That's why it's such a downer when he gets infected with the t-Veronica virus and dies in the final act. However, when Albert Wesker arrives to retrieve his remains for research purposes, he hints that the story of Steve isn't over.

The Lone Umbrella

The gets more detailed with every game, with yet another horrifying experiment courtesy of their R&D Department lurking around every corner. In the Resident Evil universe, bioengineering is definitely a common thing, so how come we only hear about one company doing it? Where's all the competition? The only one is the shadowy "The Corporation" which may or may not even exist in the present games. Other possibilities have popped up, such as The Family, but the idea hasn't been explained or explored yet.

Natalex

Alex Wesker is one of the major antagonists of Resident Evil and in Revelations 2, making it her life's work to cheat the illness that was slowly killing her. She succeeds in the end, at least in a way, since most of the plot is about her finding a suitable host body. The one she chooses is the young Natalie Korda. The epilogue of the game suggests that Alex is in the process of assuming full control of Natalia, an interesting concept that could make an equally compelling storyline if it continues.

The Final Fate of Billy Coen

Formerly Lieutenant Billy Coen, it's strongly suggested that this exiled soldier was the innocent victim of an ugly coverup in Resident Evil 0. His backstory is compelling and detailed, and the player sides with Rebecca when she lets him go at the end of the game. It seems that Billy gets away alive, and with his presumed death, he can start his life anew. That's the last the player hears about him, however, and Billy Coen could very well turn up again.

The Federal Bioterror Commission

This is supposed to be a government agency that was created to respond to and combat bioengineering, specifically bioterrorism. It was actually some of the rumors that were coming out of Raccoon City that prompted the formation of the agency in the first place. They were disbanded after the Queen Zenobia Incident several years ago, and more recently one of their key members, Neil Fisher, was betrayed and killed by Alex Wesker. There are a few surviving members that remain unaccounted for to this day, and who knows when they'll turn up?

Oswell E Spencer s Backstory

Oswell E. Spencer This is connected to Jenny K.'s mystery somewhat, as the player finds her note in Spencer's diary, but who he is and where he came from is equally mysterious. He was one of the three founding members of the Umbrella Corporation, and he took extensive measures to hide and save the company's discoveries. As far as his origins, his possible family, or nationality, it remains a dropped thread in the Resident Evil universe.

Wesker s Records

is one of the most notorious , a consistent antagonist from the very first game onwards. He started by working with Umbrella, but then he ends up betraying and stealing all of their data. The records wouldn't just be everything he took from Umbrella and other researchers, but maybe they'd also contain some information about himself. Albert was taken by Spencer from his parents at a young age, and not only are the identities of his parents never revealed but Albert Wesker isn't even his original name. Finding out who he really was would be an interesting story.

Earth s Weird Ecology

Earth's Weird Biospehere Is the setting of Resident Evil intended to be the same as the planet Earth? In the first few games, the player had that general assumption, but it's a few titles into the franchise and the environment is looking weirder all the time. Fan theories are starting to circulate about competing bioengineering companies using certain places as testing grounds, or even that the setting is really some kind of biosphere.
